Find a comfortable seat or lie down somewhere where you can let your body soften and your breath arrive naturally.
Gently close your eyes if that feels good for you.
Take a slow inhale through your nose and a long steady exhale out of your mouth.
Again inhale deeply filling the lungs and exhale letting the shoulders drop.
One more time breathing in space and breathing out anything heavy you've been carrying.
Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Today bring to mind the image of a tree.
A tree does not rush its becoming.
It does not question whether spring will come.
It simply roots deeper,
Reaches wider and trusts the season it is in.
Notice the roots of this tree.
Steady,
Unseen,
Strong.
Deep beneath the surface they anchor and nourish.
Even in seasons where nothing appears to be happening above ground,
Growth is still taking place.
Take a slow inhale for a count of four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And exhale for a count of six.
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Again inhale for four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And exhale for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Let your own breath become like roots drawing you down into steadiness,
Into trust and into the present moment.
If you are standing at the edge of a new chapter,
If life feels uncertain,
Shifting or unfinished,
Remember this.
Trees do not fear change.
They release what is no longer meant to stay.
They trust dormancy.
They trust storms.
They trust that growth is often quiet before it is visible.
You are allowed to be in between.
You are allowed to outgrow old versions of yourself.
You are allowed to trust what you cannot yet fully see.
Bring one hand to your heart and place one hand to your belly.
Take one deep breath in and silently say,
I am grounded.
Exhale slowly.
I am growing.
Inhale.
I trust the process.
Exhale.
I am becoming.
Let those words settle softly.
You do not need to force the next chapter.
You only need to stay rooted enough to meet it.
Like the tree,
Your work is not to control the season,
But to remain steady within it.
To trust that what is meant for you is already making its way toward you.
Take one final deep inhale and a full cleansing exhale.
Begin to bring gentle awareness back to your body.
Notice the surface beneath you.
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes,
And when you're ready,
Softly open your eyes.
Carry this with you today.
Rooted,
Resilient,
And open to what comes next.
