To the version of you that once felt like home,
Thank you.
Thank you for the lessons,
The growth,
The challenge,
And even the pain and discomfort.
Because somewhere inside of all of that,
I found myself.
There was a time when this was exactly what I needed.
It shaped me and made me who I am today.
It taught me resilience,
Patience,
And the importance of showing up,
Even when things felt hard.
And for that,
I am grateful.
But growth has a quiet way of changing us.
What once felt a line no longer does.
What once felt like safety now feels like limitation.
What once asked me to stay,
Now asks me to choose myself.
This is not leaving out of anger.
This is not resentment.
This is not failure.
This is clarity.
I have realized that peace matters,
That being valued matters,
That feeling seen,
Respected,
And supported matters.
And I have learned that sometimes love,
Loyalty,
And work ethic are not enough to keep us in the places that we have outgrown.
Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is let go with grace.
So I release this with gratitude.
I honor what this chapter gave me,
And I accept that not every season is meant to last forever.
I no longer need to force what no longer fits.
I no longer need to shrink to stay comfortable for others.
I no longer need permission to trust what I already know.
I am allowed to choose what feels aligned.
I am allowed to walk toward peace.
I am allowed to believe that there is more waiting for me.
So I leave with respect,
With lessons,
With my head high and my heart open.
Not because this meant nothing,
But because it showed me what I will no longer settle for.
Thank you for that.
And now I let go.
