Everything is energy,
And the chakras are these vortexes of energy.
So they are like little energy home-based centers that have specific intentions and frequencies and ways that they support us.
And energies that they hold,
Emotions that they hold,
Beliefs that they hold,
They can be imbalanced or balanced.
So healthy or unhealthy just depends.
Each day our chakras shift,
But we can go through these major themes in our life.
If we really struggle with worthiness,
And that's been something we've struggled with since childhood,
Then our solar plexus may have been struggling for a really long time.
So no judgment in what comes up for you today.
It may be just a reflection of where you are today,
But it may be a reflection of your past history as well.
Just be with whatever arises,
And try to have an openness to the experience.
The chakras may teach you something unexpected other than what I'm sharing for you,
So really be open to what your intuition shares with you as well through the practice today.
The chakras shine in all directions.
Often we'll see diagrams of them shining to the front of the body and the back of the body.
Our back side is our receiving,
It's a yin channel.
The front side is our giving,
Our yang channel.
But I've noticed over the years of working with the body,
Say working on the right arm or hand,
It can really come up and be affected to the throat chakra or the heart chakra,
That line.
So even though they're these central chakras,
They do extend out in the body.
So now I'm going to start the practice,
And I'm just going to invite you to close your eyes,
Wherever you are,
Noticing your body,
And tuning into the physical self.
This is a great way to start with your root chakra.
Noticing our physical self,
Like,
Ah,
Yes,
I have a body.
With this body,
These tissues,
I have muscles and bones and nerves,
All of these physical elements making up anatomy and your physiology.
Just noticing your body with no judgment,
And we're going to zoom into the root chakra.
So it's at the base of the spine,
The tip of the tailbone,
Around this area or right under your pelvic bowl.
Here we'll find the root chakra,
And the color associated with it when it's healthy and strong is a vibrant red light.
So just by bringing your awareness here,
Notice,
Is there a color,
A quality that's arising for you?
It may not be red,
It may be a different color,
Or maybe murky,
Or it may be vibrant,
Like a firetruck engine,
Firetruck red.
Notice the quality,
And I'm going to speak about this chakra.
Simply have your awareness here,
And notice what arises within you as we speak about it.
So our root chakra connected to our physical body,
Really it's our base chakra connecting you to the earth beneath you,
You to the outside world.
So things like relationships to other people,
If those feel threatened,
There can be an imbalance here.
If those feel healthy and supportive,
It will feel so nourished.
Notice the connection to your relationship,
And how that feels.
It also houses our relationship to finances,
To this abundance,
And although yes it's material,
It's just energy,
It's all energy.
So noticing how that feels in your body,
Your relationship to finances,
How does that feel in your root chakra,
Does the color shift,
Is there an emotion arising?
Simply aware.
And as we're aware of what's there,
We can also invite in the energy or the frequency of what we want to explore,
What we want to grow.
So for relationships,
Maybe it's I just want more love and connection,
Bring that to your mind,
Bring that to your awareness,
That supports your root chakra.
For finances,
It's maybe I just want ease,
Just ease and this sense of security with my finances.
Notice how that feels and call that there to your root chakra.
Here's where we feel grounded and held.
So safety is a key aspect of the root chakra.
If we are unsafe,
It struggles,
If we are safe,
Ah,
We can breathe,
Our nervous system calms down and this chakra feels good and wholesome.
So noticing your sense of safety and self right now,
How does that feel?
This is also our relationship to work,
Our career,
Our service,
How we choose to spend our time here,
The activities we choose to do,
Does that feel in alignment with you and fulfilling to you?
So these are some of the key elements of the root chakra,
But this grounded sense can relate to presence and being present,
Not future focused or worried about the past,
But here and now.
So as we work on the root chakra,
It allows us to ground,
To feel safe,
To feel held,
To feel like we are supported externally and internally.
So if you'd like,
You can visualize a red light growing,
And for some people visualization is not on the table,
That's okay.
Think of a quality of the root chakra,
Maybe a feeling,
What does safety feel like,
What does presence feel like?
So let that grow within your root chakra now,
Shining so brightly.
Alright,
We're going to come up to the sacral chakra,
Which is in the lower abdomen,
Just underneath the belly button,
And the color here is orange,
And its job,
Its main job I find is acceptance,
Accepting reality as it is.
That doesn't mean we're not going to change things and we're not going to grow,
But it means we're not resisting life,
We're not fighting with life as it's unfolding.
We are accepting,
Seeing it through the eyes of love and compassion,
Bringing more ease to our world,
And the resisting force to this acceptance is fear.
We are afraid of life,
Or afraid what's out there.
Can we move into acceptance in this moment,
Letting that orange light shine brightly,
That feeling of acceptance radiate throughout you.
This is also our center of creativity,
Our playfulness,
Our inner child energy,
It is where we house our sexual energy,
Our sensual energy,
And we have our connection to community here.
So if you're struggling in any of those areas,
There may be some imbalances,
But if all of that feels so good in life,
It should be vibrant and radiant,
Just noticing,
Seeing if there's anything you need.
All right,
We're going to move up to the upper abdomen.
Here is the solar plexus,
A vibrant yellow light,
A yellow color.
This is reflective as the center of self,
Your core.
Feeling into this area,
Noticing,
Are there any sensations,
Emotions,
Or colors here?
A strong solar plexus radiates love for yourself.
Those are kind words and affirmations in your mind,
Being your own cheerleader,
Being your own best friend,
Being your partner,
And really being there for yourself.
This is also our power center,
Where we feel empowered.
We feel potent.
We are authentic in who we are.
We know it,
And we love it,
And we're not afraid to shine it.
Shining it through confidence,
Through our posture,
Through how we carry ourselves,
Through how we speak about ourselves in a loving,
Compassionate way.
When it's struggling,
We are doubting ourselves,
We're negative about ourselves,
We may feel powerless or unworthy.
So sense this innate worthiness,
This vibrant yellow light,
And really letting that shine out where it's like the sun.
We're going to come up to the center of the chest now.
In the center is the heart chakra,
And this can be a vibrant green or it can be a lighter pink color.
I find they both have a say here.
The green is this more universal love,
Love for everyone,
Love for everything,
Love for life,
You know,
A really grateful heart.
And the pink is a more intimate love,
That love that we share with those we're really close to,
Like family,
Children,
Partner,
A pet,
It's a little bit different quality.
Still the same base of love,
But just shining in a different frequency.
So noticing these colors in your heart,
Noticing the emotions here.
Our heart is the center of emotion,
So any emotions that we carry or we hold will be here in the heart center.
The heart's like the mind.
With the mind we have thoughts coming and going,
And with the heart we have emotions coming and going.
In the mind we can cling to thoughts and hold on to them,
And in the heart we can cling to emotions and hold on to them.
Essentially,
The ideal state is just a balanced,
Open,
Neutral space where we can connect to that love at all times,
And not have these curtains or these veils of emotions from the past or anxieties of the future,
So a clear space of truth,
Direct truth of the love that exists now,
In this moment,
Always accessible,
Infinite,
And unending.
This is where we receive love and give love,
So there often may be an imbalance with maybe we can't give because we're too drained,
Or maybe we're not good at receiving because we feel like we always have to give to others,
Or maybe it's perfectly balanced and we are just radiating love in all directions with an open heart,
Ready to receive it.
See if these colors can shine more brightly,
The green and the pink here.
And with emotions,
There's no pressure to release them,
Often it's just bringing our awareness to them,
Just noticing them,
Giving them a space to be felt,
Is what they need to be processed and surrender,
But we can only do that when we feel safe,
When our heart feels good and connected to love,
A space of abundance and not scarcity of love.
Alright,
Let's move up to the throat chakra now,
At the base of the throat,
And the color here is a light blue like the sky.
This is our center of truth,
Of expression,
How this you,
This self we identify with,
Shows up in the world through your words and through your actions.
Now obviously we're always expressing ourself in some way,
Even when we're not using words or we're not taking actions,
That's an expression as well.
Is this expression of self coming from the heart,
Or coming from the mind,
Coming from the ego?
The lovely open throat chakra comes from the deep heart,
The space of love,
Not the space of hurt,
Not the space of protection or ego,
However many of us have experienced being shut down or told it's not okay to express ourself in a certain way,
Or we haven't been received well,
So just noticing the quality of color and the feeling in the throat chakra,
The ideal feeling here I find is a sense of freedom,
Like we're free to express who we really are,
We feel safe to do that in ourselves,
Regardless of how the world takes it.
Letting that light blue color shine so brightly,
And that freedom expand.
Now we rise to the third eye,
So in the center of the forehead,
Center of the skull,
We have this lovely third eye.
This is an indigo color,
Or a kind of dark blue,
Purple-y,
Mystical color,
Connecting you to your inner knowing.
It's like a communication center where we receive input from the universe,
Not from the mind,
From the universe,
From this all-knowing frequency,
This energy within all things,
So through our third eye,
We are connected to all.
We can understand what's going on on the other side of the universe,
On the other side of the wall,
In our neighbor's home.
We can understand what's going on within us,
Within our bodies,
It really is this door opening to information,
To wisdom,
And it speaks to us in many different ways,
Maybe through our gut and our feelings,
Our tummy,
Our emotions in our heart,
Visuals in our third eye,
Or just a sense,
An inner knowing.
And when we ignore our intuition,
Or we don't feel connected to it because our mind is so full,
Often we struggle in life,
We get stuck in uncertainty,
Not knowing which way to go,
Which decisions to make,
And when it's clear and open,
We have clarity,
We have this knowing,
And it feels good,
And it feels right,
Always directing us on the best path,
So letting that third eye really open and expand.
And then the final of the seven chakras is the crown chakra,
This lovely violet or purple light at the top of the head.
Here is our connection to the universe,
Not necessarily a communication center like the third eye,
But just pure connection to source.
So when this is really open,
We feel vibrant,
Like we are full of life,
Full of all the goodness,
Full of health,
Full of abundance.
It fills all of our chakras,
The energy that comes down through our crown.
It's like our recharging,
Kind of like a battery,
Or we're a reservoir,
And this energy of the universe fills us up.
It also lets us feel connected to something greater than the self,
So it connects us to this universal truth of oneness,
That there is no self,
There is no I,
That that is an illusion.
We are,
Of course,
Connected to all things.
Energy is not separated by barriers or walls.
It's like the ocean.
We believe we're this droplet in the ocean,
But we are the ocean.
And when we feel that,
We feel held,
We feel seen,
We feel safe,
We feel loved,
We feel empowered,
And when we don't feel that,
When that feels kind of closed off,
That connection,
We feel alone,
We may experience deep depression.
We can get really stuck in our mind and our thoughts and in a negative cycle or loop because that energy is not flowing in as well.
So in really inviting your crown to open,
And we don't have to know this,
It's more of a,
It's something we trust.
It's something we trust until we directly experience it,
But we have to be open to that potential,
That possibility that there is this greater force outside of this body,
Outside of this self.
And once we can just be open to that potential,
Then it can connect with us.
It's like we've opened the door,
And then we can feel it,
We can sense it,
And we can know it.
We can be so supported by it.
Sensing that crown chakra now,
And the vibrancy of the color,
Holding no judgment with whatever is arisen through your chakras,
As this was just an explanation,
A guide for you to understand them more deeply.
Checking in with your body,
Seeing if there's anything it needs,
And you can open your eyes when you're ready,
And I hope you're feeling good in this moment.
I encourage you to journal whatever came up through this practice,
As a reflective piece,
And so this can be really helpful for you to understand,
Hmm,
For some reason,
The light in my throat chakra,
I couldn't connect to that color,
But I could connect to all the other color,
Or my solar plexus was so bright,
And so this gives you little indicators of okay,
Where I'm doing really well,
And where we might be struggling a little bit.
This is the communication of intuition.
When we understand colors,
And their meaning,
It allows us to go so much deeper,
Giving us more information to share,
And understand the body,
And how to consciously be a part of our healing more actively,
And less passively.
We can be very passive in Reiki,
And just allow,
But I find it's nice to include our conscious mind.
It loves to be involved in healing,
And growth,
And how we can change patterns,
And habits to support ourselves.
Have a lovely rest of your day,
And evening,
And reflect on the chakras,
Maybe journal what each one means to you,
What you picked up from today's session.
Okay,
Bye.
