I hear of the term 'abundance' very commonly in spirituality and abundance is much too vague of a word if we're calling in what we want... abundance simply means 'a lot of.' A lot of.. what? Money? Health? Terror? Fear? In opening your heart, one has to think with prosperity, which is the abundance of wealth, success, property, riches and affluence.

Welcome to Day 9.

That's right,

You're on to the second week of the Opening Your Heart 21 Day series.

And I'm very excited about this week because today is a very important theme for many people,

The world over,

And that is prosperity.

So I want you to welcome into this meditation by slowly,

Comfortably relaxing yourself into a position of comfort.

Now whether you're like me and you have your legs crossed,

Or whether you would prefer to have your legs underneath you,

Maybe a cushion,

Maybe not,

Maybe a bench,

Maybe not.

Get yourself to that place and ideally have your palms on your knees facing up to the sky.

So fingertips facing upwards.

And close your eyes and steady yourself into your breathing.

We'll start that by taking three deep breaths.

Welcome to this meditation today on prosperity.

You're going to hear the sound of a sound bowl that I use every time and when you hear it,

I invite you to enter a place of deep relaxation in the meditation we're beginning.

Continuing to breathe gently and sweetly to yourself.

Letting the dust settle from the day.

As we begin this meditation on prosperity,

I am reminded of how I came to realize the importance of prosperity.

Oftentimes,

There is some confusion between abundance and prosperity.

Abundance definitely means lots of something.

Which means someone can experience an abundance of pain or an abundance of nutrition or an abundance of happiness or an abundance of sadness.

When a friend of mine illuminated me to the difference between abundance and prosperity,

I slowly began to realize that the word I was meaning when I used the word abundance was in fact prosperity.

Prosperity means greatness.

Something specific.

Prosperity also means wealth,

Success,

Profitability,

Affluence,

Riches,

Etc.

Prosperity is the flourishing,

Thriving,

Good fortune and successful social status.

Breathe in the possibility of prosperity.

Breathe in and inhale the profuse wealth.

And remember that profuse wealth can come in any form.

So be sure to drink in profuse health and profuse happiness.

Now take three deep breaths here to really ground in on this prosperity.

Focus your mind on wealth with purpose.

You may be focusing on ways to be prosperous in your bank account or your wallet.

And I invite you to think about ways to be prosperous indirectly to your wallet.

Breathe that out.

Breathe the stickiness and the attachment to a number in your bank account out of your energy field.

Be prosperous in your heart.

Be prosperous in your generosity.

Be prosperous in your kindness.

Learn to be prosperous in your compassion of others,

Of your neighbors,

Your pets,

Your children,

Of your significant other.

Be compassionate,

Most importantly,

With yourself first.

Be connected to yourself first.

It costs zero dollars to be kind.

There's no need to be a compassionate person.

Breathe that out.

I invite you to carry this affirmation with you into your day.

Take from it what serves you.

Adapt it if you want.

Say it out loud now.

Write it down or say it silently to yourself.

You can choose to place your palms together in your heart center while you say it and hear this affirmation.

It is,

When I am generous,

I am prosperous.

When I am generous,

I am prosperous.

Feel free to move your wrists gently.

Give them a stretch.

Circle your hands around.

Move and shift your legs.

Make sure that blood is flowing evenly throughout your body.

Feel free to move your body and sigh out if that helps.

Move your spine and before you open your eyes,

If you're not there yet,

It's okay if you are.

Before you open your eyes and notice the stillness within and the stillness without,

Give a little smile.

Our meditation is closed.

You can open your eyes.

You can choose to be calm and enjoy the stillness.

Thank you for being a part of this meditation practice today and I'm going to close our meditation for today with the sound bowl.
