Welcome to your meditation for getting back up after a setback.
We've all been there.
Things feel like they're rolling along nicely in life.
We're building momentum.
It feels like we're heading in the right direction.
And then,
Bam,
Something knocks us down.
It can be very easy to let these setbacks completely stop us in our tracks.
And if that's happened to you,
That's okay.
It's absolutely normal to have times where we are discouraged from trying again,
Or just can't light the spark within us to build the momentum back up.
And.
You absolutely can get back up and start again.
Whether you want to get back up on the same track or go in a different direction.
The important thing is that you get back up.
Let go of any judgment of how long it's taken you to decide to get back up.
It doesn't matter.
Because today,
You made the choice to do it.
You already took the first step by pressing play on this reflection.
So give yourself credit for that.
Even if it doesn't feel like it yet.
You are already on your way again.
Sometimes,
The thing standing in our way the most is our mind.
Today we will move from overthinking into taking action again.
Take a deep breath in.
And when you exhale,
Close your eyes if you haven't already.
Begin to settle into a comfy place for your meditation.
Let yourself be supported in this moment.
Let the Earth be there underneath you,
Holding you up.
You can never fall so far down that the earth isn't there to catch you.
You are health.
Begin to breathe deeply.
And think of a situation that you are wanting to get up from.
There's no need to get into all of the challenging details.
There's no need to get caught up in everything you've thought about it.
Simply call to mind.
What it is that you'd like to overcome.
In a few simple words.
Now,
Feel how you feel about it.
What kind of feelings are there and may be stuck?
Holding you down.
Sadness.
Frustration,
Anger,
Disappointment,
Just being over it.
What's there that needs to be felt around this situation?
You Again,
Try not to get wrapped up in the thoughts of the emotions or the situation.
Simply feel into your body.
What the emotion is.
And where the emotion lives.
Sometimes we think we just need to muscle our way through something hard.
Get back up,
Dust ourselves off,
And forget it ever happened.
Or come up with a foolproof plan in our minds to do it,
Quote unquote,
Better.
But our bodies and subconscious know better.
We may be overthinking in circles about how to avoid a setback like this again.
Or we might be inadvertently holding on to emotions around the challenge we faced if we don't let ourselves actually feel them.
So take a little time again.
To step away from the overthinking cycles.
And just feel what arises around this fall down.
Take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Release the feelings or thoughts that are holding you back because of this challenge.
Continue to take deep breaths.
Keep breathing it out.
Move through the emotion.
Disruptions and setbacks are absolutely normal.
And you don't have to let them take the wind out of your sails.
You can use the setback as information.
Not as an argument for why you shouldn't try again.
But deeply felt information.
Embodied as wisdom.
To help propel you forward.
What information can you gather from this that can be helpful?
Be kind to yourself within your answers.
Let the wisdom propel you forward.
Now take a moment to think about how you want to feel on the other side of the setback.
How do you want to feel moving forward?
Now start to feel that in your body.
Take in that wisdom.
And sit in the embodiment of this feeling.
And now visualize what getting back up looks like to you.
Use the feelings and emotions you want to feel on the other side of the setback.
To help pull you up.
What does getting back up?
Look like to you.
Sit up a little bit taller.
Breathe in a little bit deeper.
Maybe let yourself smile.
And know that you are resilient.
This setback doesn't have power over you.
You are choosing to get back up.
Yes,
You can.
When you face a challenging setback in your life.
Take the time to actually feel what arises because of it.
Handle what you need to handle inside yourself.
And be there for yourself.
But just be sure.
You don't let yourself get stuck because of what happened.
Feel it.
Move through it.
And then get back up.
You can make the choice to get back in the game.
And key.
Take this energy with you.
Continue to feed it.
You are always moving forward.
You're always learning and evolving through setbacks.
And you always have the ability to choose to get back up as many times as you need to.
You've got this.
I believe in you.
Gently say to yourself.
I believe in myself.
This setback will only make me stronger.
I now choose to get back to sleep.
Take one more deep breath in.
And slowly exhale out.
Gently open your eyes.
And invite yourself to see things just a little bit differently as you move back into your day.
Take a step into what's next for you.
Thank you so much for practicing with me,
And I look forward to our next session together.
