Welcome to your Changing Seasons meditation.
My name is Brittany,
And this is a practice to support you on your journey of beautifully awakening.
Today we'll be sharing a special visualization for the Changing Seasons.
This is a time of release.
The leaves releasing from the trees.
The warmth releasing from the soil.
Rain releasing from the clouds.
It's a time of year where we begin to move inward a bit more.
Indoors to keep warm.
It's also an opportunity to go inward toward ourselves.
To reflect on what we're ready to release.
And oftentimes when we think of release,
We might think it's an ending.
But really,
The changing of the seasons is an opportunity to clear space so that we may have more room to invite in.
When the seasons change,
It's a wonderful time to create a clean slate not only in nature,
But within ourselves for the new seasons ahead where we can invite in.
But we need to take time to let go and even hibernate a little bit in order to create that clear foundation on which we will build later.
This meditation is an opportunity to start releasing what no longer serves us.
To slow down.
And to go inward.
Letting our lives reflect the natural cycles of change around us.
Sit or lay in a comfortable position.
And begin to settle in.
Settle into a space of stillness from reflection and release.
And close your eyes if that feels good for you today.
Begin to feel supported for your practice.
Feel the support of the earth underneath you.
The seat holding you up in this moment.
You have arrived.
Begin to breathe a little deeper.
And allow each exhale to be a space to further soften your body into this moment.
If there are places of tension or tightness within.
Begin to imagine your muscles relaxing as you breathe.
Stressors and tensions beginning to evaporate.
More space being created within.
As you breathe deeply and invite your body to rest.
Begin to imagine yourself sitting next to a beautiful stream in a forest.
The water gently floating by.
The soft moss growing on the rocks at the water's edge.
The incredible colors of the changing leaves.
The green and yellow.
Orange to pink to fiery red.
Taking the beauty all around you.
As you soak in this incredible scene.
You look up at the trees.
And as a gentle breeze makes its way in.
You begin to witness the leaves surrendering their hold on the branches.
Beginning to make their graceful descent.
Slowly raining down to the earth below.
The magnificent colors painting the ground with beauty.
As you witness the dance of the wind and the leaves.
Still lightly holding on to a branch on the tree.
This leaf seems to shine just a little bit brighter than the others.
And you watch as it dances in the breeze.
With another gentle gust.
This leaf releases its grip from the branch.
And slowly like a feather.
You witness as it floats to the ground.
The hands in front of you.
You take this beautiful leaf in your hands.
And begin to witness its beauty.
Feeling the texture.
And noticing the details.
And as you hold this leaf in your hands.
The edges begin to curl up and form a cup or bowl.
And as you breathe.
With every exhale.
Your tensions and stressors.
And worries.
Everything that no longer serves you.
Begin to melt down your body.
Through your hands.
And gently release into this leaf.
Invite everything you're ready to let go of.
Release from you.
And into this leaf.
Take a moment to thank this leaf for carrying this extra weight.
Holding on to the things that no longer serve you in this moment.
You gently place this leaf into the stream.
And watch as it gently begins to float away.
When this leaf is no longer in sight.
You begin to feel lighter.
And it's easier to breathe.
Continue to allow your body to relax.
And surrender as you gently say to yourself in your mind.
I release.
I release.
I release what I no longer need to carry with me.
I release anything that is not serving me in this moment.
I release.
I release.
I release.
I release.
I release.
I release.
Take a little more space within your heart and soul.
Take a full deep breath in through the nose.
And as you feel ready,
Begin to open your eyes.
Remember that by clearing space,
Releasing the things that you don't need right now.
It helps to create more space for that which you'd like to invite in.
