In our meditation today,
We will be focusing on drawing energy into our bodies by imagining our breath,
Drawing in through the navel.
In this way,
We will be nourishing our own selves,
Drawing life back into our bodies,
Repatterning our systems so that we can again draw life in instead of just pushing on life and pushing things into being.
We'll learn again how to receive,
How to receive the bounty that is available right now.
So beginning in a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down,
And if you can close your eyes,
Now would be a great moment for that.
Move your palms face up in a gesture of receptivity and bringing awareness either down towards your hips if you're seated or to the backside of your body if you're lying down.
And inviting your breath to draw in into your navel,
Filling your body with that breath,
That prana,
That life essence.
And as you release your breath,
A deep softening into the body,
Into the enoughness that is right here.
Bringing breath in,
Filling up as much as you can,
And a soft,
Slow release through your exhale.
Starting this way.
.
.
If you've drifted away from the breath,
Coming right back to it,
Drawing life into your body and a soft release of the breath.
Breathing this quality of becoming nourished.
Noticing now if there's any place in your body that you could soften to allow more breath,
More life,
More prana into your body.
Inviting those subtle places of holding to again trust life.
That it is indeed safe to receive life into the body.
Breathing that safety right into your belly now.
Inviting the breath to travel upward through the chest and a soft release.
Breathing a quality of ease into your body now and through the navel.
With a soft release.
Imagining a healing balm,
A healing light coming in through this next breath,
In through your navel,
Filling up the body.
Sending healing to any place in your tissues that could use a remembrance of connection.
Allowing your awareness to rest in that nourishing breath.
Allowing your body to be filled up by life.
With each exhale,
Offering yourself the gift of becoming soft.
Through each inhale,
The belly is soft and receptive,
Filling up through the rib cage and chest.
With each exhale,
Offering yourself the gift of becoming soft.
Beginning to deepen into your breath now.
Bringing the palms of your hands together,
Resting at your heart in a moment of gratitude for this practice.
Namaste.
