And good morning and welcome to In The Flow with Lori Albert.
Happy day.
It's a beautiful day today.
And you know,
I wanted to talk about something kind of,
I don't want to say controversial necessarily,
But have you ever been told that you can't do something?
Like have you ever been told,
Oh,
You can't do that?
What makes you think you can do that?
You can't do that,
Right?
And you know,
Sometimes I think that when somebody says to you,
Like after you have this great idea,
Right,
And somebody will say,
Oh,
You can't do this.
Sometimes I think that it's their own fear that is telling them,
You can't,
Telling them,
Well,
If you can't do this,
Meaning the person's telling you you can't do it,
Telling the other person it's their own fear that is telling them that they can't do it.
So why should you be able to do it?
Do you know,
Does that make sense?
And I think that it's kind of a testament,
You're going to laugh when I say this,
But it's kind of a testament that you actually maybe can do it.
Because if someone says,
Oh,
You can't do that,
It's like,
They don't want you to do it because you'll be like,
You know,
And it's not everybody of course,
You know,
But,
And it's all,
And I believe it really is subconscious,
Right?
You know,
But when somebody says you can't do that,
Doesn't that sometimes give you more oomph,
Like I'm going to do it,
Right?
And sometimes we let it bring us down and we don't want to do that.
Don't want to let that bring us down,
Right?
Never doubt yourself.
Because here's the thing,
When the naysayers all come in and they start saying,
You can't,
Oh,
Really?
You're going to really do that?
Why would you do that?
Are you sure you can do that?
They're just jealous.
As my mom used to tell me that anytime anybody would tell me,
Like,
Like bring me down about something,
My mom would say,
They're just jealous.
And I would think,
Oh,
That's an interesting way of looking at it,
You know,
But the reality is,
Is that you can do it.
You can do whatever you want.
I did a reading the other day and we got into this thing and we were just like,
Yeah,
You can do it.
If you really want to do something,
You can do it.
You can.
We all can,
You know,
And that's like the thing too.
Who's just,
Who,
Why would,
Why would,
Why do we listen to other people like that?
You know,
Because we can do it.
We can do whatever we put our minds to doing.
You can do it.
We do that to ourselves so,
So much.
We tell ourselves,
Oh,
Maybe I can't do that.
Maybe,
You know,
One little negative thing.
It's fear.
It's fear coming in.
Don't allow the fear to take over.
We can't.
There's so much at stake and I,
And I,
And I,
That sounds very dramatic,
But it's true.
There is so much at stake for our own lives.
So let's just say that little thought creeps in or somebody tells us you can't do it and the fear starts to take over.
Right?
So the fear starts to take over and guess what?
Your vibration starts going down and down and down and down and then guess what?
You don't do it because you allow that fear in.
We must not allow the fear in our hearts because as soon as the fear starts coming in,
That's when our vibration gets low and that's when we start allowing in all those negative icky feelings,
You know,
Anxiety and jealousy and you know,
All of that stuff.
So we are keeping our vibration high today.
Yes we are.
And guess what?
We are not allowing the fear in today as we go on through our lives.
We are going to push the fear aside.
Push that fear aside.
Right?
Because it doesn't do anybody any good.
So guess what?
We have a great mantra today.
Right?
Okay so let's get ourselves comfortable for our no fear meditation.
Right?
Okay so let's get ourselves comfortable.
Sitting in your chair however it feels good to you,
Feet on the floor or crossed.
Okay.
Let me gently allow your eyes to close.
And let's take a nice long slow deep breath in.
And release.
Very good.
We are breathing in tenacity.
We are breathing in that fighting spirit.
Yes we are.
Let's take another deep breath in.
Breathe in that I can do it air.
That energy.
Right?
So let's breathe in.
And breathe out.
You are extraordinary.
You are.
You can do whatever you put your mind to doing.
If you decide that you want to do something,
You can do it.
And you will.
So let's start our day off though with a couple of gratitudes.
So what are three things that you are grateful for today?
Three things.
Should be easy to find three things.
Especially with our can do attitude.
Right?
I am so grateful for this energy today.
It feels good.
It feels high.
Right?
Beautiful.
Very good.
So our mantra for today that we are going to meditate on and be with all day.
I can do it.
You know what I love about that mantra?
That affirmation is that it can be anything.
Absolutely anything.
I can do it could mean that you could work through the pain.
Physical pain or mental pain.
Or it might just mean that you are trying to learn a new program on the computer.
You can do it.
So as we begin to sit in our silence and we say I can do it.
That is our mantra for today.
If your mantra morphs into something else that is absolutely okay.
Just try to push those other thoughts to the side.
Gently swish them out of the way.
Get back to the mantra and our breathing.
So let's begin.
I will keep the time.
I can do it.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
Let's take a nice deep breath in.
Breathing in that I can do it attitude.
And release.
Perfect.
When you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.
Awesome.
So today the challenge is to keep that I can do it spirit with you all day.
One of my favorite things to do is to write a sticky note of encouraging things.
I've talked about that before.
Put a sticky note on your mirror in the bathroom.
I can do it.
Because you can.
You can.
It's possible.
Don't allow fear to creep in.
Because that only creates.
What does it create?
Creates negativity.
Right?
