And hello there.
Welcome to In the Flow with Lori Albert.
I'm Lori Albert and I have so much to talk about today as always,
Right you guys?
Oh yeah,
I have kind of a little bit of a controversial thing I want to talk about today and this is kind of interesting.
Wayne Dyer has a quote that I wanted to talk about.
Wayne Dyer said,
When you judge another,
You do not define them,
You define yourself.
Now on the surface,
That means you don't judge other people,
Right?
But you guys know me.
I always find or like to find the crazy little weird meaning of things,
Right?
What does this quote really mean,
Right?
I want to get further down the road on what this could mean,
Right?
We all judge other people for good,
For bad.
We all judge other people and we,
You know,
And we go down the line of like,
Okay,
Oh my gosh,
She looks so pretty today,
Right?
And then other times we'll say,
Oh,
She picked the wrong outfit,
Right?
That's what happens.
We as humans instinctively judge other people and we judge everything.
We don't even just judge other people.
We judge everything in good ways and bad ways.
We judge ourselves.
Yep,
We judge ourselves.
Think about that,
Right?
So here's what I think that Wayne could have been alluding to as well.
What if he realized when he said that,
That it's natural for all of us to judge other people?
That's just what we do,
Right?
I mean it's just natural.
I mean that's what we do as human beings.
But what if when he says it defines ourselves,
What about if we could stop making ourselves wrong for judging other people?
Does that hit you like it hits me?
It really,
That really hits me a lot,
Right?
It really hits me deep down.
It's so freeing to think that,
You know what,
Since we all judge everything and everybody,
Maybe we should forgive ourselves.
Maybe we should forgive ourselves and not make ourselves wrong.
How do we do that?
How do we not make ourselves wrong in doing that,
Right?
Well the short answer is love.
Love and forgiveness.
Love and forgiveness.
Love overcomes everything.
And love of ourselves,
Even more so.
So today we are going to do a meditation about love.
Yay,
Of course,
Right?
Love of ourselves,
Love of other people,
Love of the world.
And forgiveness.
We need to stop making ourselves wrong for everything.
We make ourselves wrong for everything.
Can you imagine what our life would be like,
Our lives,
Collectively and individually,
What would it be like if we just didn't make ourselves wrong for judging other people and for things,
Let's just say,
Leave it,
We'll keep it like that,
Right?
So today on our meditation we're going to focus on love.
Love and forgiveness.
So let's get ourselves comfortable,
Let's take a nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep,
Deep breath in through our nose and release.
Release all those deep thoughts that I made you have this morning.
Let's take another nice deep breath in and release.
Beautiful.
Very good.
Now today as we think about the word love today during our meditation,
I want us to maybe put our hands in our hearts so that as we are meditating we can remember that we are our hearts.
We are love.
We were born out of love and we go through our lives with love.
So today as we sit in the silence,
We are going to say silently to ourselves,
I love you.
As you say this,
You can mean you love yourself,
You love your family and friends,
You love strangers in the world,
The universe.
I love you.
Beautiful.
And as we start to clear our minds,
Let's ask ourselves what we are grateful for today.
What are you grateful for?
What is so good in your life today that you are absolutely grateful?
Is it that you actually just woke up this morning?
Is it that your friends and family are safe?
What are you grateful for?
As we focus on our hearts,
Let's sit in the silence and with I love you.
I will keep the time.
If you get stuck on this,
This is a hard one,
Believe it or not.
If you get stuck,
Just focus on your heart chakra and consider love.
And let's begin.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
As we do so,
Let's realize that we are our hearts,
We are love.
Let's take a nice deep breath in and release.
Whenever you feel comfortable,
You can open your eyes.
Beautiful.
Very good.
Today as you go through your day,
I want you to realize that love overcomes everything.
It just does.
It's like a law of the universe.
I'm making that up.
But it is though.
Love overcomes everything.
So if you find yourself judging somebody today,
Just know,
Just forgive yourself.
Love overcomes everything.
Love yourself.
Forgive yourself.
So I love you all.
I wish you all the best and have yourself an absolutely beautiful day.
Namaste everybody.
Take care.
