I Know You Care, A Song Of Hope

This is a song of hope on ngoni (African harp), with vocals, didgeridoo, bass, and percussion Inspired by the Lorax, I wrote this in deep love and concern for our beautiful one and only home, beautiful planet Earth, and out of faith in the ultimate goodness of humankind. Included is a Maori proverb "He waka eke noa" which means we’re all in this canoe together.

This was a lovely, fun listen to start the day off, and has a wonderful message as well. Having been to both Australia and New Zealand, I enjoyed both the dige and the Maori lyrics, though it constantly struck me as being a little bit disconcerting to hear them in use simultaneously. Speaking strictly from a cultural perspective. I choose, however, to view it as a way that people from different backgrounds can come together - as is done here - to demonstrate a shared passion, cause, or concern. This is my learning for today.
