Welcome to the I Can Relax podcast,

Where I guide you through soothing visual scenes to help you calm your mind.

I'm your host,

Benjamin Boster,

And today's episode will take you on a peaceful walk through the mountains.

Before we begin,

Take a moment to find a comfortable place free from distractions.

Whether you're sitting or lying down,

Allow yourself to settle in.

If you'd like,

Gently close your eyes and allow your breathing to slow.

Let's begin.

Picture yourself standing at the base of a magnificent mountain.

All around you,

Maple trees and oak brush stretch toward the sky,

Their leaves glowing in shades of gold and amber,

A reminder of the cool crisp autumn air that surrounds you.

Take a deep breath in,

Letting the refreshing breeze fill your lungs and clear your mind.

In this moment,

You feel connected to the landscape,

Calm,

Grounded,

And ready for the journey.

As you prepare to start your walk,

You stretch your body,

Feeling your muscles loosen and relax.

You're dressed comfortably,

Your shoes laced securely,

And the trail ahead beckons with the promise of a cascading waterfall waiting at its end.

With each step,

You begin your gentle ascent.

The trail is soft beneath your feet,

The incline barely noticeable,

Allowing you to move with ease.

The forest around you is alive with the sounds of nature,

Rustling leaves,

Distant birdsong,

And the faint whisper of the wind through the trees.

As you walk,

The tall aspens begin to catch your eye.

Their pale white bark glows in the soft sunlight,

And the leaves flutter above you,

Their silvery undersides shimmering in the light breeze.

The sight is mesmerizing as though the trees themselves are guiding you forward.

Feel the rhythm of your steps,

Steady and effortless.

The path beneath your feet is smooth,

And each footfall brings you closer to the waterfall.

You can already hear its distant murmur,

A soothing promise of refreshment and peace at your journey's end.

The trail begins to wind through a meadow,

Where the tall grasses sway softly in the breeze.

Wildflowers bloom in clusters along the path,

Delicate purples,

Bright yellows,

And soft blues dotting the landscape with vibrant color.

The air feels crisp and fresh,

Carrying the subtle scent of pine and earth,

Grounding you even deeper into the peacefulness of the mountain.

As you walk further,

The sound of the waterfall becomes clearer,

Its rushing water growing more pronounced with each step.

You feel a sense of anticipation,

Knowing you're getting closer to your destination.

But there's no rush.

Each moment of this journey is just as important as the destination itself.

The incline of the trail increases slightly,

But your body feels light,

And each step comes effortlessly.

As you move forward,

You notice a small stream running alongside the path,

The waters crystal clear flowing gently over smooth stones,

Creating a soft,

Soothing sound.

You pause for a moment,

Watching the sunlight dance across the surface of the water,

Reflecting the vibrant greens of the surrounding forest.

Continuing on,

You can now see glimpses of the waterfall through the trees,

Its white mist rising up into the air,

Blending with the golden rays of sunlight breaking through the canopy.

You feel a cool spray on your skin refreshing and light,

Inviting you closer.

With a few final steps,

You arrive at the waterfall.

It cascades down the mountainside in a powerful yet graceful flow,

Crashing into the pool below,

The sound that fills the air.

Sight is breathtaking,

A current of water shimmering in the light,

Surrounded by moss-covered rocks and vibrant greenery.

You take a deep breath,

Letting the cool mist envelop you as you stand at the edge of the pool.

The sound of the rushing water drowns out any lingering thoughts,

Bringing you into a state of pure calm.

But then something unexpected catches your eye.

At first it seems like a trick of the light,

But then you see it clearly,

A small delicate door carved into the moss-covered rocks near the base of the waterfall.

It's barely noticeable blending into the natural surroundings,

But there it is,

A tiny wooden door with intricate designs edged along its surface.

You pause,

Wondering how you hadn't noticed it before.

It's the kind of thing that feels both out of place and yet perfectly at home in this peaceful scene.

Without thinking,

You stand up and walk toward it,

Curiosity pulling you forward.

As you reach out to touch the door,

It opens slowly without a sound.

You peer inside,

And instead of a dark,

Rocky cave,

You see something completely unexpected,

A cozy,

Warm-lit room with soft,

Glowing lanterns hanging from the ceiling.

The scent of fresh-baked bread drifts out,

And you can just make out the sound of quiet laughter as if someone is inside waiting for you to join them.

For a moment you stand at the threshold caught between the familiar sounds of the waterfall and the strange,

Inviting scene.

It's as though time has shifted,

And you wonder how you got here,

But you also feel a sense of calm curiosity.

You're not sure whether to step inside or stay where you are,

But either way,

You know you can return to the peace of the mountain at any time.

So taking one more deep breath,

You close the door gently and return to your seat by the waterfall,

Letting the cool mist settle around you once again.

The strange little door fades into the rocks,

Almost as if it had never been there at all.

The sound of the water returns to the forefront,

And you allow yourself to relax once more,

Holding on to the sense of wonder from your brief encounter.

Stay here for as long as you need,

Letting the sights and sounds of the waterfall bring you peace and relaxation.

When you're ready to return,

You can always come back to this place,

Knowing the tranquility of the mountains is just a breath away.

Thank you for joining me on this mindful journey through the mountains.

Until next time.
