This short guided meditation is designed to help you start the day feeling focused,
Empowered,
And at peace.
To begin,
You can find a comfortable place to sit,
Either cross-legged on the floor,
Or if you'd like,
You can sit on a chair with your feet firmly planted on the ground.
You can close your eyes or leave them open but relaxed.
Remember,
As we go through this journey,
That energy,
Vitality,
And happiness are your right.
Now,
It's time to leave all distractions behind.
Any sticky thoughts that you're having can be left alone.
You can pick them up later if you'd like.
They'll still be waiting for you on the other side of this journey.
Take a slow,
Deep breath.
Feel your body fill with air,
And as you exhale,
Watch how your body naturally sinks into a relaxed and peaceful state.
As you inhale,
I'd like you to imagine a golden ball of energy slowly seeping in through the top of your head,
Warming and calming you.
And as you exhale,
I'd like you to feel that golden ball move slowly down your body,
Bringing with it a feeling of deep relaxation.
Again,
Inhale,
Feeling the light energy building in your head,
Massaging your scalp.
And exhale,
Feeling it move down your face,
Softening your eyelids,
Relaxing your jaw,
Down your neck,
And your throat.
Down your chest and your abdomen,
Relaxing your torso.
Down your legs,
Releasing tightness in your hamstrings and calves,
And finally,
Releasing itself out of your feet.
Now,
Take a few breaths to just appreciate the natural vitality that is swimming through your body.
With each breath,
Notice how you become just a little bit more calm,
And a little bit more focused and alert.
And as you go through the day today,
I want you to remember that all it takes to come back to this calm and alert energy is one breath.
