Today I'm gonna take you through a body scan that will show you the infinite stillness that is both all around you and deeply inside of you.
So first to begin bring your attention to your feet and notice the sensations on the soles of your feet and in your toes.
Now slowly bring your attention up to your calves releasing any tension along your shins breathing deeply up to your knees and you may notice other areas of your body begin to relax spontaneously.
Along now bring your attention to your thighs noticing a deeper relaxation as we move along the leg,
Your glutes,
Your pelvis relax.
Any tightness in your stomach you can allow that to dissolve and be replaced by a softness.
You may notice your stomach moving in and out as you breathe deeply.
Bring that attention now to your torso and relax.
Now to your shoulders,
Notice how that feeling of calm dribbles down your arms slowly relaxing the muscles and stopping finally at your hands where you may notice a warm tingling sensation.
Now bring that relaxation to your neck and finally allow it to move up to your head relaxing the muscles in your jaw,
Your lips.
You may feel the air on your upper lip and finally allow your eyelids to relax.
And as you listen to my voice you'll notice that every breath you take takes you deeper and deeper into a state of calm alertness.
And if you stopped for a moment to taste that calm you would notice that it had an infinite like quality.
It was open and expansive and there were no boundaries.
Just sit with that stillness for one moment.
And now bring your attention back to your feet.
I want you to perceive the sensations that are there but I also want you to see that inside those sensations and all around those sensations coexist this taste of infinite stillness.
And as you bring your attention now up to your calves you will see that this stillness is there also.
Moving now to your shins noticing both your shins and the infinite stillness within your shins.
And the knees where any tension begins to spontaneously release.
You may notice that that infinite stillness brings a calming effect.
And your thighs now and the infinite stillness behind your thighs.
Your pelvis.
This stillness is everywhere.
And now to your stomach.
And your torso.
If you face your attention inward you may feel a deep stillness resonating in your heart.
Now see the silence that is inside and around your arms.
And your hands.
That's it.
And if you were to turn your attention around as if you were looking into your own eyes.
You would feel this stillness that is around and inside your mind.
And as you sit with it for a second your unconscious mind may begin to accept that this stillness is the deepest most intimate part of your being.
I want you to bring that stillness into your daily life.
So that wherever there is tension,
Wherever there is noise,
You can feel the stillness and the silence beyond the noise.
