Hello,

My name is Brenda and this is both a breath meditation and a mantra meditation.

Mantra is the Sanskrit word for vehicle of the mind.

Man is mind and Tra is that transcendence,

That movement,

That vehicle action.

So come to your seat please.

Start to find that position that's going to feel most comfortable.

Maybe it's on a cushion,

A blanket or on a chair.

Gently close your eyes or look down to the floor with your eyes a bit open.

To start here,

Just take a nice big breath in through the nose and let it go out the mouth.

Feel the breath move in and out through the nose.

The mantra we'll be using is so hum.

Translates to I am infinite or I am that which is endless and just has this vastness to it.

You might repeat it in your mind right now,

Just kind of playing around with the word so hum.

And the practice is going to be as we inhale,

We'll say so.

And as you exhale,

You'll say hum.

So you're just repeating this mantra inside of your mind.

Breathing in for so and breathing out for hum.

Breathing in for so and breathing out for hum.

The technique is relatively simple.

And if it feels more comfortable for you to say it in English,

You can simply say on the inhale I and on the exhale am.

I am.

I am.

Continuing on for a few more moments.

Keeping the face soft,

The eyebrows released,

Eyes soft,

Jaw soft.

Very effortlessly repeating these sounds.

So hum.

And now simply just let that mantra go.

Let it fall away.

Taking a big breath in through the nose.

A slow breath out the mouth.

Tipping your chin down towards your chest and gratitude to yourself for showing up to your practice here.

Blink your eyes open a few times when you're feeling ready to come back into the space.

And then taking with you this this vibration with you,

This feeling of you are infinite.

You have the endless possibilities for the rest of your day.
