Welcome to your full moon ritual meditation.
This full moon is a lunar eclipse in the sign of Libra.
Libra calls us to restore the peace,
To strike a balance.
The moon in Libra invites us to reflect on the relationships we have in our lives
and whether we have lost or found ourselves in them.
Thank you for taking a moment to connect with the ever-present celestial being that is our moon.
Let's begin by taking the time to ready our space,
Maybe tidying it up,
Lighting some candles,
Bringing your crystals around,
Or maybe a nice warm drink.
Maybe you have a room in your house where you can sit in the moon's light.
Once you've got your space situated,
Begin to find a comfortable meditative position.
It could be lying down flat on your back or finding a nice comfortable seat with the spine long.
Whichever position that you are taking on,
Be sure that your breath is unobstructed and that you can take nice full deep breaths.
Maybe wiggle the fingers and toes just to get any last-minute energy,
Wiggles,
And fidgets out.
Allow yourself to fully settle into stillness.
Gently close the eyes or soften your gaze once you're ready to sink deeper.
Into this full moon meditation.
As you drop into your meditative state,
Begin by opening both palms to the sky
about shoulder width apart and allowing them to rest
on your knees or lap or off to your sides if you are laying down.
Libra is the sign of the scales,
So imagine both your palms as the scales.
Now begin to see the full moon resting on the left scale,
Your left palm.
Receive the energy from the lunar eclipse.
Feeling this power boosts your insights.
Inhale through the nose and with your breath,
See the full moon arc into a rainbow to your right palm,
The right scale.
Exhale out the nostrils.
The full moon arcs back to your left palm,
Creating a luminary bridge between your palms.
Inhale,
The moon arches to your right palm.
Exhale,
The moon returns to your left palm.
Continue with this moon bridging breath on your own with your own unique pace of breath.
Let go of this breathing pattern and come back to your natural cycle of breath,
Allowing the full moon wherever it's landed in your palm to gently flow up into the sky,
Releasing any tension and worries along with it.
As you become settled,
Reflect on the relationships in your life.
Be honest with yourself as you recognize any relationships that may be codependent,
People-pleasing,
Or ones where you've lost yourself in this situation.
Now gather your awareness to the parts of you that handle conflict.
Observe if you have swayed towards justice or peace,
Towards compromise or stalemate.
Libra is the sign of justice and harmony through forming or initiating connections.
Connect to this charismatic,
Sociable,
And harmoniously balanced spirit within you.
Now begin to identify imbalanced dynamics in your life that you are ready to shed.
What relationships need to come to a close?
Feel any conforming agreeable tendencies that may have existed in these dynamics.
Begin to dissipate.
Let them be consumed by the light of the full moon,
Shedding its insight over you by uncovering the shadows with light.
If you felt that you lost yourself in this dynamic,
Begin to release that feeling.
Know that your true,
Unique,
Radiant light within cannot be dimmed by any other person
or relationship.
We'll begin to reflect with some open questions.
Try not to mentally pour energy into these questions,
But allow your inner wisdom to speak
and just let your intuition peel through the answers.
Which relationships do you feel seen and heard?
What spaces or communities celebrate your individuality?
How important is embracing harmony for your own emotional health?
Do you need to feel validated or approved in order to be yourself?
Feel the silvery,
Glowing full moon rise from the horizon into the sky.
Feel its soft light glistening on your skin.
Bask in the beams of the moon as it restores balance to your heart,
As it also restores balance to the energy between your left palm and your right palm.
Your emotional urge to please others is tempered by the energy of the full moon.
By her lunar luminance,
The full moon shines her healing spotlight on you.
As you become suspended by her gravitational pull,
Pulling the crown of your head up towards the sky,
Begin to feel any worries,
Resentments,
And imbalances become absorbed by the pure white light,
Purifying and cleansing you to your true form.
Become inundated with gratitude for the moon,
For sharing her light,
For restoring you to the mental and emotional balance you need to pursue healthier connections.
Radiate gratitude to the moon from your heart space.
Bring your awareness into your breath,
Breathing into the physical corners of your body.
Close your meditation ritual by placing your palms on your heart and bowing in complete gratitude.
Slowly awaken by moving fingers,
Toes,
And eventually gently fluttering the eyes open
and allow yourself to continue on with your full moon ritual meditation
or journal on anything that came up for you during this practice.
