Ode To Cacao

Cacao has been an important part of my healing journey. I sit daily with Cacao, opening and listening to my heart for growth and healing. This poem transpired after one of my morning solo ceremonies and it truly reflects my deep love and respect for Mama Cacao.

Transcript

I take this moment to sit and reflect with gratitude,

Love and deep respect for this beautiful cacao from sacred lands.

I am truly blessed it ended up in my hands.

I thank the farmers and the ancestors.

I thank Mother Earth and her protectors.

I thank the earth,

Water,

Fire and air and I honour each and all with this prayer.

Mama cacao you opened my heart,

Reconnecting me to all of my parts.

Holding my hands while I sit with my pain,

Reminding me that sunshine comes after the rain.

Always there through life's highs and lows,

Guiding me to my yeses and my no's.

For setting boundaries,

Growth and healing,

You have been there for every feeling.

You give me hope and nurture my love,

Supporting me both from below and above.

You teach me to ground and give me my wings,

Allowing me to stand strong and also to sing.

With your nourishing love as my guide,

I'm supported and no longer need to hide.

I have the power to do and be so much more with your beautiful reminder that I am the one I've been waiting for.
