I'm going to invite you to close your eyes,
Place your hands over your heart and start taking some nice beautiful deep nourishing breaths.
Starting to arrive here,
Coming in to this space,
Arriving here in your body,
Releasing your shoulders,
Unclenching your jaw and breathing nice and deep into your heart.
Beautiful Goddess,
I call to you.
Surround me with light,
Gentle and true.
Wrap me in love,
Safe and sound.
Whisper your wisdom so I may stand my ground.
I invite you to breathe in that light,
That light that surrounds us,
That connects us,
That energizes us,
Breathing it into your heart.
May this space be soft and bright,
Held in warmth and quiet light,
Hearts connected far and near,
Gathered gently together here.
Breathe in that love,
Breathing in that energy that we're sharing together tonight,
Feeling that light and love wrapping around us like a warm blanket,
Breathing it nice and deep into your heart space.
And when you are ready,
I invite you to hold your cacao so that you feel the warmth in your hands,
Maybe even placing your cacao directly against your chest so that you feel the warmth in your heart.
Mama Cacao,
Your gift we receive with grace.
Thank you for supporting this sacred space.
We honor the ancestors,
The lands,
The histories,
And we thank the farmers and families who tend to your trees.
We accept this sacred gift with gratitude,
Respect and care,
Giving thanks to the earth,
The water,
The fire and the air.
May this cup be warm in our hands,
A quiet bridge across distant lands,
Together,
Sipping,
Breathing slow,
Held in cacao's heart as we grow.
So just breathing in that beautiful aroma,
Starting to smell your cacao,
Feeling the warmth in your hands.
With this cup of cacao,
We gather here tonight to loosen the old spell of pretty or beautiful and rewrite it as kindness,
Courage,
Laughter,
Wisdom and truth.
Tonight we'll release the roles that we were taught around the word beautiful so that we can return to our truth.
I'm going to invite you to breathe into your cup these words of intention for this ceremony.
I want you to breathe in nice and deep and then exhale,
Breathing out the words into your cup.
Beautiful kindness,
Beautiful courage,
Beautiful laughter,
Beautiful truth.
When we breathe our words of intention into our cup,
It creates a connection between those words,
Your cacao and your breath,
Those intentions tonight.
Beautiful kindness,
Beautiful courage,
Beautiful laughter,
Beautiful truth.
We're going to open tonight's ritual with three sips together.
Our first sip is for releasing the old meaning of the word beautiful.
For many of us,
The word beautiful came with conditions,
To be smaller,
To be quieter,
To be prettier and we sip together now to release the pressure to perform for beauty.
You breathe into the energy of that sip,
Feeling it entering your body.
Let the cacao carry away the old stories of what beauty was supposed to look like.
Just breathe into that energy,
Releasing the pressure of beauty.
Without a second sip,
This is to reclaim that word.
Beauty is not a shape,
It is not perfection,
It is not approval.
Beauty is kindness,
It is courage,
It is truth and we sip together,
Reclaiming beauty as a word of empowerment.
Breathing in,
Breathing into the energy of that sip,
Letting this sip remind you that beauty lives in how you show up and not how you appear.
Breathe into that energy.
Our third sip is to reframe our language and inside the word beautiful lives a secret message,
Be you to the full.
We sip together and embrace becoming ourselves to the full.
As you breathe in that sips energy,
Let it be a promise to yourself to live a little louder,
A little freer,
A little more fully you.
Breathing into that energy,
I invite you to continue to sip your cacao,
Releasing the pressure of old ways,
Embracing the word beauty in a different form as you listen and sip along to tonight's song.
We're told that we should be beautiful but listen close there's a secret inside,
Be you to the full in this life of yours,
Be bold,
Be true,
Not pretty but pretty deeply you.
In the ways you love,
Pretty strong when you speak your truth,
Pretty fearless simply because you choose to be fully you,
There's strength and power.
Beautiful is not a size,
It is not a face,
It is not a rule.
Beautiful is a soul fully expressed.
Beautiful is courage,
Beautiful is truth,
Beautiful is kindness.
Breathe into that energy,
Be you to the full.
The word pretty,
The word beautiful,
It's lost its meaning,
You already are,
You are beautiful because you are kind and you are brave and you are pretty,
Pretty wise,
Pretty funny,
Pretty strong,
Pretty smart,
Pretty loving,
Pretty kind,
Pretty wild and free and pretty awesome.
So in a world where you can be anything,
Tonight my wish for you is that I hope that you always remember the most powerful choice of all is to be you to the full.
Thank you and blessed be.
