Closing our eyes,
Placing both our hands over our hearts,
Taking some nice,
Beautiful deep breaths.
Beautiful goddess,
I call to you.
Surround me with light,
Steady and true.
Wrap me in love,
Safe and sound.
Whisper your wisdom,
So I may stand my ground.
Just breathing in that beautiful white light from the universe.
Feeling it surrounding you.
Feeling it being wrapped up in that love.
As we breathe it in,
Feeling those energies starting to connect in this space here together tonight.
Just breathing in that energy,
Breathing in that light,
Breathing in that protection.
When you're ready,
I invite you to grab your cacao.
Holding it in your hands so that you feel the warmth of your cup.
Perhaps even placing it against your chest so that you feel the warmth.
On your heart.
Smelling that beautiful aroma as we come into this space.
Thank you,
Mama Cacao,
For your divine gift that we are about to receive.
We respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians,
Owners,
Farmers and families of the sacred lands from which you came.
And the lands on which we all now stand.
For me,
I thank the Yugamba people for this beautiful place in which I get to call home.
And together,
We pay respect to all the elders all around the world.
Past,
Present and emerging.
With this cup of cacao,
We gather here tonight to listen to our hearts.
To honour what was.
To release what's gone.
And to hold gratitude for the love that remains.
So we're going to take our first three sips together.
Our first sip is for the laughter that we once shared.
With gratitude,
We sip for the good times that we've had with old friends.
And as you breathe into that energy,
Feeling that first sip entering your body,
I want you to say to yourself,
I allow myself to smile at what once was.
I allow myself to smile at what once was.
Just breathe that energy in.
And with our second sip together,
And this is for the lessons that the friendship gave us.
With gratitude,
We sip to the wisdom that we carry forward.
And as you breathe into the energy of that second sip,
Say to yourself,
I grow from what life teaches me.
I grow from what life teaches me.
Just breathe into that energy.
And our third sip together is for the release.
Trusting that the path ahead,
That life will gently rearrange it for us.
And with gratitude,
We sip to the paths unfolding ahead.
And as you breathe into the energy of that sip,
Just say to yourself,
I let go with softness and trust.
I let go with softness and trust.
I invite you to finish drinking your cacao.
Just breathing into that energy of the friendships that have come and gone,
Knowing that there were good times,
That there were lessons,
And that there is gratitude to be held.
So just breathing into that energy.
And if you are still sipping your cacao,
That's okay,
You can keep sipping.
Perhaps placing one hand over your heart.
Feeling our hearts opening with cacao.
Letting any emotions arise.
We've all had friendships that have come to an end at some point,
And it's hard.
I truly believe that the path forward is with love and gratitude for what once was.
So that we don't sit with bitterness.
So I invite you to take a moment to think about a friendship that has faded or ended.
And find one thing that you still carry with you today.
And it could be a moment that you've had together,
Some wisdom that they gave you,
A phrase that you loved,
An item that you were gifted.
Just visualize yourself holding,
Just holding it gently,
Allowing it to glow.
Allowing it to glow bright in your hands,
Like an ember,
Letting it warm you.
Feeling cacao running through you,
Supporting you,
Guiding you.
Opening yourself up to the emotions that you need to feel.
Just breathe into that energy.
And I'm going to invite you to take a moment to let your soul send their soul a message.
Say whatever it is you need to say,
With love.
Trusting that they will receive their message on an energy level,
On a soul level.
Just give yourself permission to say what you need to say.
Feel what you need to feel.
And be open to holding both that sadness and gratitude together in one heart.
Just breathing into that,
Holding space,
Taking a moment to honour what once was,
While honouring your own heart.
Goodbyes are never easy,
But they don't have to be sharp,
They don't have to sting.
Sometimes they can be a soft ending.
A little bit sad,
A little bit sweet,
But always full of gratitude for the time that you did have.
Thank you,
And blessed be.
