The Brave Parrot A long time ago,

There was a big,

Green forest.

Many animals lived there,

Monkeys,

Rabbits,

Birds,

And the air was full of songs and the trees stood tall.

In the forest,

There was a small parrot with shiny green and gold feathers.

He was tiny,

But he had a big heart.

The parrot loved his home.

He enjoyed flying through the trees,

Feeling the cool river,

And warming up in the sunlight.

Every day,

He chirped happily as he flew.

One summer,

A strong storm came.

After it passed,

A lightning bolt hit a tree deep in the forest.

The tree caught fire,

And soon,

The flames spread everywhere.

The green forest turned red and orange.

Thick smoke filled the air.

The animals were scared.

The deer ran,

The rabbits hid,

And the monkeys climbed high,

Screaming.

The parrot saw the fire.

His small heart beat fast.

He could fly away and be safe,

But he thought,

This is my home.

I cannot leave it.

The parrot flew to the rivers as fast as he could.

He dipped himself in the water until he was all wet,

Then rushed back to the fire.

When he reached the flames,

He shook his wings.

Tiny drops of water fell on the fire,

But the fire was too big.

The water disappeared instantly.

Still,

The parrot did not stop.

Again and again,

He flew to the river,

Got wet,

And dropped water on the fire.

The other animals watched him.

What is he doing?

Asked the rabbit.

He's too small,

Said the deer.

One little parrot cannot stop this big fire,

Cried the monkey.

But the parrot ignored them.

He kept flying even when his body got tired.

His feathers turned black from the smoke,

And his wings ached.

High in the sky,

The gods were watching.

One god saw the little parrot and said,

Look at that small bird.

He's risking his life to save his home.

He knows he can't stop the fire,

But he doesn't give up.

Then the god changed into a giant eagle with gold wings and flew down the forest.

The eagle called to the parrot,

Little bird,

Why are you doing this?

You're too small,

You cannot stop the fire.

The parrot,

Tired but brave,

Looked up and said,

This is my home.

The trees give me shelter,

The rivers give me water,

And the land gives me food.

I cannot just leave.

I must do something,

Even if it is small.

The god was touched by the parrot's words.

If you have the heart to fight for your home,

Then I will help you.

The giant eagle flopped his wings,

And dark clouds covered the sky.

A cold wind blew,

And soon rain started to fall.

The fire sizzled and crackled,

Then slowly died down.

The forest was saved.

The animals cheered for the brave parrot.

The deer bowed,

The monkeys clapped,

And the rabbits jumped with joy.

The god,

Still in eagle form,

Spoke to the parrot,

You might be small,

But your heart is bigger than the tallest tree.

The parrot just smiled.

He didn't want a reward.

He was happy that his home was saved.

From that day on,

The brave parrot became a legend in the forest,

A symbol of courage,

Kindness,

And never giving up,

Even when things seemed impossible.

And so,

The little parrot lived happily in the jungle,

Always strong and brave.
