Hi,

My name is Anja and I welcome you to this beautiful eye-gazing meditation inspired by tantric teachings.

This is a meditation you can do as a romantic couple or as close friends.

Make sure you are in a quiet space where you won't be disturbed for the next few minutes.

Find a comfortable seated position opposite of each other so you can look into each other's eyes comfortably.

And then slowly close your eyes and connect to yourself first.

Connect to your breath.

Feel the air entering through your nostrils.

Feel your belly rising and falling with every inhale and exhale.

And now let's do a quick body scan.

Bring your attention to your head,

Your eyes,

Your jaw,

Your mouth,

Your throat and notice whatever is going on there.

Just feel.

Bring your attention to your shoulders and let them slightly drop.

To your chest,

Your heart center,

Solar plexus,

Your belly,

Your lower back,

Your hips.

Just feel and know what is there.

Feel your seat bones grounded on the floor or chair below you.

Feel your thighs,

Your knees,

Your calves,

Your feet grounded into the floor below you.

Take another deep inhale in through the nose.

Hold it for a few seconds and then sigh it out.

And then slowly open your eyes and meet your partner with a smile.

Your bodies are not touching.

You simply look into each other's eyes and notice.

How does it feel?

What do you feel inside of you?

Are you nervous?

Are you laughing?

Just let it be there.

Maybe there's some discomfort.

Maybe you've never done this before with anyone and that's totally fine.

You are here to explore.

You're safe in the aura of your partner.

Just for a little bit,

Allow your eyes to look around in the face of your partner.

Notice what you see.

Maybe you can gift each other a smile,

A smile of comfort,

A smile of love and deep appreciation.

And then slowly come back looking into each other's eyes.

Focus on your partner's left eye.

Each of you can point to your own left eye so it's clear where you're supposed to look.

And then just stay with this soft gaze into this beautiful eye in front of you.

Keep your breath steady.

Keep breathing into your belly.

Slowly and calm.

And just notice what do you see.

The left eye is supposed to be the window to the soul.

Let your partner look into your soul.

Let your partner see you truly.

And with curiosity look at your partner's soul.

What do you see?

What do you feel?

Just stay with this gaze.

Try not to blink too much and try to stay with one eye,

With the left one.

Whenever you start to feel nervous or you feel any kind of discomfort,

Return to your breath.

Deep belly breathing very slowly.

And keep your gaze at your partner's eye.

Set an intention of giving compassion and love to your partner.

Set an intention to make them truly seen.

And just keep gazing.

Maybe something comes up now.

Maybe a fear of being seen.

Maybe a fear of being so vulnerable.

But remember you are safe.

It is safe to feel whatever comes up.

It is safe to try to love,

To be open,

To be vulnerable.

It is safe to be pure and raw.

And now just keep gazing for a couple of more breaths.

Remember you're safe.

And whenever you feel it's too much,

Return to your breathing.

Focus on the inhales and exhales through your belly.

And then slowly come to an end.

Let your gaze become softer and softer.

And then slowly close your eyes for a moment.

Return to your own body,

To your own feelings.

And feel the gratitude for this experience.

Slowly bring both your hands to your heart.

And feel whatever is there.

Thank yourself for being so open and vulnerable.

And for creating the space for connection.

Whenever you feel ready,

Open your eyes again and meet your partner with a smile.

Find a way to thank each other for this beautiful experience.

Maybe you just want to give each other a namaste.

Or maybe you want a hug or even kiss.

Whatever feels right,

Whatever comes up,

Just let it be there and let it be expressed.
