Hi,
I'm Angela,
And today we'll do a meditation that will help us to love our loved ones just a little bit more.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable seat that may be on the floor with some cushions supporting us and our legs crossed,
Or that may mean we're sitting in a chair with our legs flat on the ground.
Lengthening our backs as if someone has a string at the top of our head,
Pulling it up nice and straight.
Floating our hands down on top of our thighs,
Either palms up or palms down.
Whatever feels more comfortable to you.
Rolling our shoulders up,
Back,
And down a couple of times.
Allowing our chins to be parallel to the floor.
Floating our eyes closed,
If that feels comfortable to you.
Or find something to keep your gaze on,
And you will keep your eyes fixated on this object the entire meditation.
Breathing in and out through the nostrils.
Nice natural breath.
Relaxing our eyebrows.
Relaxing the eyelids.
Cheekbones.
Softening the jawbone.
Relaxing our arms and fingers.
Relaxing the torso,
Allowing the belly to just be.
Relaxing the legs and toes.
Breathing in and out through the nostrils.
Bringing to mind an object that brings you great joy.
Something that brings a smile to your face could be a person or a thing.
But when you think about this object,
It's something that just instantly makes you feel joy and happiness.
Bringing your mind to the things,
The qualities that this object has that makes you feel this way.
Asking yourself,
Why does this thing bring me such joy?
Why do I feel so loved when I'm around this object?
Bringing this feeling of love and joy and allowing it to radiate through your entire being from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet.
Now radiate this love back to this object that gives it to you.
Share that love back,
Spread that love to the very object that gives it to you whenever you need it.
Bringing this feeling of love and joy to amplify and spread as if there were a sphere that you were in and that sphere is just filled with love and joy between you and that object.
Keeping the smile on your face,
The feeling in your body,
Bringing to mind your loved ones,
Imagining them standing right in front of you.
Asking yourself,
Why does this thing bring me such joy?
Now,
Expanding that sphere of love onto your loved ones.
Maybe that feeling of love and joy has a color.
White or yellow or pink.
Maybe it's a rainbow.
And it extends forth to all your loved ones.
Imagining them all standing in front of you with smiles on their faces.
Joy in their hearts.
As they embrace and are showered with your love and joy.
As you look to them,
You say to them,
I love you just as you are.
I love you just as you are.
Allowing that love to just flow through to each and every loved one that is in front of you.
And that love swirls through them and back into your own heart.
Taking back all of that love and that color into your heart as you carry it with you throughout the day.
Spreading love into the world.
Loving just as everyone is.
Breathing through your nostrils.
Slight smile on your face.
Feeling of love radiating through your body.
As we gently come back to the room,
Wiggling our fingers and our toes.
Gently opening the eyes.
Going out into the world today to spread more love.
Loving everyone just as they are.
Including yourself.
Namaste.
