Looking back at this most recent chapter,
It's time to figure out what hasn't gone so well.
Imagine you're the world's expert in this experience that you've just lived.
Take a moment that hasn't gone well and imagine that you've been hired by a university to teach a class.
You are the expert in how to recreate not just wins,
But all of it.
What's something that you're not particularly proud of?
We want you to give us a short course,
Just the bullet points,
In how to recreate an outcome that you're not satisfied with that you're currently experiencing.
I'll give you my example.
So,
I'm an expert and I want to invite you to my course on how to fail to reach your fitness goals.
Step one,
Don't put your workout into any calendar.
Avoid the commitment,
Have it in your mind,
But create the lack of accountability by avoiding writing it down.
And then,
You want to prioritize work and other people,
Anything else that might come up over yourself and the commitment that you have to fitness.
Then,
When your work does shift around and you don't have time for your workout,
You don't make time for your workout,
You want to blame your colleagues for adding work to your plate.
That's really important.
Once you know that you're off track with your fitness goals,
Really avoid the discomfort.
Distract yourself with other thoughts and instead of thinking,
Okay,
I'm off track and I could get back on track,
What you want to do is just trash the whole goal.
Say,
Okay,
Well,
I'm off track now,
Then it just doesn't matter,
I might as well give up.
But,
When you do make some time for exercising,
Don't push yourself.
Now that you've had such a long break,
It's really important that you're not overexerting yourself.
Rather than creating even the slightest bit of discomfort so that you can strengthen your body,
Just start by only doing recovery,
Easy style workouts.
Thanks for coming to my class on how to fail to reach your fitness goals.
I'm really proud of these results and I think if you follow my steps,
You can be really proud too.
I'm looking forward to taking your class.
