This short morning postcard is an offering of comfort — a hug for when you need one, no matter where you are. Through gentle imagery and breath, you’re invited to rest, soften, and feel held just as you are. Nothing to fix, nothing to do — only a moment of connection and care. You are loved, you are enough, and you don’t have to carry everything alone.

You know,

A friend reached out to me today,

And she asked me for a hug.

I happen to live hundreds of miles away from this friend,

And it's not the first time that she's reached out for the same reason,

As well as other friends of mine that live far away from me.

So it got me to thinking,

Maybe you could use a hug today.

So I thought I'd drop you a quick postcard,

Or a quick hug this morning.

So if you have a moment,

Find a place to sit down.

Perfect.

And let's just close your eyes.

Yeah.

When you do this,

Can you see me?

Perfect.

Now I'm going to take a couple of steps towards you,

With open arms.

So come on in.

Lean into me.

Can you feel my arms close around you?

Just gentle at first.

Come on,

Babe.

There you go.

Lean your head on my chest.

Yeah.

And if you want,

Put your arms around me,

And I'll pull you in closer.

Just like that.

Now just breathe with me.

Nothing else.

Just breathe.

And stay.

And I'm not going anywhere.

Just let go,

And let me hold you.

Do you know I love you?

What's not to love?

You are important.

You are absolutely perfect,

Just as you are.

Right here,

Right now.

Can you feel my heart?

Now feel it beat with yours,

And breathe.

Thank you.

Thank you for letting me hold you.

When you're ready,

Take a deep breath,

And you can get back to your day.

You've got this.

Today,

Tomorrow,

Always.

And I've got you.

I love you.
