Let's begin by creating a meditation nest.

It doesn't matter if you are sitting or lying down,

As long as you are comfortable.

It could be snuggled under your favorite blanket on the sofa or in your bed,

And maybe a soft pillow on the floor.

Just take a few moments to settle in.

Let your attention drift to your breath,

How it flows in and out of your nose,

And how your body rises and falls with each breath.

You do not need to alter your breath in any way.

Just notice the quality of your breath.

Is it fast?

Scattered?

Fluid?

Maybe it meets resistance along its path into your body.

No matter the quality,

Invite your breath to bathe your body in its nurturing embrace.

Your eyes may begin to feel heavy.

Allow them to close tenderly if called to do so.

Our journey is an exploration of the root chakra that will cultivate a profound sense of security and safety,

While embracing inner qualities that are instinctual within you.

Let your breath guide you to the base of your spine.

As you inhale,

Envision a vibrant,

Red glow.

This red light represents your foundation,

Your strength,

Your connection to the universe.

Grounding,

Supportive,

Soothing.

As you breathe,

Imagine this red light expanding and filling your pelvic floor,

Bathing it in warm and comforting energy.

Can you feel a deep connection to the earth beneath you,

Providing safety and stability?

With each inhale,

Visualize this red light growing brighter.

And with each exhale,

Maybe the glow expands just beyond your physical body,

Hovering and glowing just above the surface of your skin.

As the red light glows in and around you,

A sense of security and safety washes over you.

Soothing,

Relaxing,

Calming.

This glow holds your inner qualities,

Your innate instincts,

Your primal wisdom,

Your connection to your true self.

As you gaze into the red glow of your root chakra,

Ponder the qualities that make you feel safe,

Grounded,

More alive.

Perhaps it's your ability to persevere,

Your sense of belonging,

Your inner strength.

Allow these qualities to surface.

Embrace them as a fundamental part of who you are.

With each breath,

The red light at the base of your spine becomes more vibrant,

Radiating its soothing energy throughout your entire being.

You are anchored in serenity.

As our journey nears its end,

Take a moment to express gratitude for the qualities that make you unique and the sense of security you have cultivated.

Practicing activities that align with the root chakra,

Such as taking a walk in nature,

Engaging in grounding yoga poses,

Or finding a moment to connect with the earth by standing barefoot on the grass are easy ways to call upon your inner strength in your daily life.

And when you are ready,

Gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Maybe take a deep body stretch.

Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly through your mouth and invite your eyes to slowly open.

May you find lasting tranquility.

Until next time,

May you know safety,

May you know self-love,

May you know your inner strength.
