Hi,
I'm Amanda Hudson,
An advanced EFT practitioner.
I frequently get asked to explain why I use the full set of tapping points.
I first want to walk us through them all together today,
So if you are listening to the podcast or any of the tapping audios that I put out,
You have a strong sense of where we're tapping as I guide you through.
So let's begin by tapping the top of the head.
That's frequently where I'll begin our taps,
And this is just light percussive tapping,
And you're tapping top of the head and side of the head and back of the head.
You'll often hear me cue,
Take a big deep breath in through the nose and out the mouth.
That's just to keep things moving,
Our emotions flowing.
Then we'll move to the inner eyebrow,
And you can tap on one side of the face,
The other side of the face.
It's all equally as effective or use both hands.
Then we'll move to side of the eye.
These first points should probably feel quite familiar because they're often done by most people that I've seen who are leading EFT or tapping online.
Take another big deep breath in through the nose and out the mouth,
And we'll move to underneath the eye and underneath the nose,
Underneath the lip or the chin point.
Take another big deep breath,
And we'll move to the chest.
I'm just tapping all over the chest.
There's no one specific spot,
And in fact,
I find that the tapping points are relatively forgiving.
As long as you're in the general vicinity,
That vibration is going to move through the body.
Here are where my points tend to differ a bit from others.
After the chest,
We move to a point that I call top of the ribs,
And that is just right here under the breastbone,
Top of the ribs.
Tapping there for a moment,
Taking a big deep breath in through the nose,
Out through the mouth,
And then we'll move to underneath the armpit.
Again,
You can tap both sides.
Some people call the side of the rib.
Some people like to cross arms.
Some people like to tap this way.
It's all so under the armpit or side of the rib.
Another big deep breath,
And then we'll move on to the hand,
Which I don't see as often,
And these are some of the points that can trip people up.
I'm going to hold my hand up just really awkwardly so it's obvious where we're tapping,
But the first place we'll tap is the inner wrist.
Again,
I generally try to switch up my hands throughout a tap,
But if you forget and you're just doing one hand,
That's totally okay.
Tapping the inner wrist,
And then we'll move to the finger points.
Hold my hand this way so you can see.
You'll often hear me say top of the thumb.
If you hold your hand out like this,
You'll see the top of the thumb for me is here where the side of my fingernail meets the thumb pad.
Tapping the top of the thumb,
And now when I'm doing a tap for myself,
I'm not holding my hand up like this.
I've probably got it in my lap,
But I'm holding it a bit awkwardly so you can really see the points.
Top of the thumb to top of the index finger.
Yeah,
Top of the middle finger.
Big deep breath in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Here's where we do a little switch.
We go underneath the ring finger.
Yeah,
It's the only finger that we'll do underneath.
Then back to top of the pinky.
Big deep breath.
And then side of the hand.
This one again is commonly used,
Or more commonly used.
I've seen this quite frequently,
So that one might be more familiar to you.
Great work.
So a couple things about using the complete set.
I like having the wrist and the finger points at my disposal for a few reasons.
If I'm in public,
I'm on an airplane,
I'm in a Zoom,
A stressful meeting,
I can be tapping.
I'm tapping right now,
And you don't necessarily notice.
It's not as obvious.
So if you're in public and you don't want to be,
You know,
Tapping on the face,
You can just use the hand points,
And that's going to be effective.
And a lot of people have condensed the points.
They've taken some of the points out.
In most of the peer-reviewed research,
There is a condensed set of points that's being used,
And it is equally effective.
So I just want to make sure that you don't get too hung up on if you are using the full set,
Or you're tapping with someone else,
And they're not using the full set.
As long as you're generally using those same set of points,
Your EFT practice is going to be equally effective.
But hopefully through this demonstration,
It's become clearer to you when you're listening to my audios where I'm having you tap and why,
And it gives you access to some of these points when you're tapping on your own as well.
