Thank you for joining me for this Shavasana practice.
My name is Allie,
And I hope that you are well today.
If possible,
Go ahead and lay down onto the floor,
Maybe onto your yoga mat or the comfort of a soft carpet,
And take this moment to clear away any items in your space.
Draw your knees towards your chest.
Give yourself a squeeze,
A gentle hug,
Wrapping your arms around yourself.
And then let your feet find the ground beneath you.
Stretch them long on to the mat.
Bring your right leg over to the right a little bit more,
And your left leg to the left a little ways.
Let your feet splay open.
Place your right hand at your heart,
And thank yourself for this moment of peace,
This moment to pause.
And sense your breath.
And sense your heart beating.
And take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And now just gently drop your hand by your side.
Palms of your hands turn up.
Close your eyes if you haven't yet,
And come in rhythm with your breath.
Inhaling and emptying out.
Filling the body with breath.
Find some softness in your shoulders.
Some softness in your jaw.
Feel just the rise and fall of your breath.
And fall in,
Fall in sync with your own cadence,
Your own rhythm,
Your own direction of breath.
And see if you can allow the sensation of the whole body breathing.
From the soles of your feet to the palms of your hands.
The breath comes in,
Fills up in the body,
And empties out.
Don't wander too far.
Stay in this present moment.
Stay in the room.
Everything is as it should be.
Just watch your breath.
You know,
Sometimes we fill up and it all comes right back to us.
Like this ebb and flow of energy.
And it's just so beautiful.
We fill up and it all comes right back to us.
Like this ebb and flow of a wave that moves in and out of our body.
And sometimes we fill up and it leaves us.
And we send it out to others.
Sometimes it's not for us.
Sometimes we fill up for the next person.
Maybe it's a loved one.
Or even someone you've never met before that you come in contact with.
Because you've settled.
You gave yourself this moment.
And see,
When we fill up,
We find the best version of ourself.
Our true self.
And so let yourself fill up.
And let yourself empty.
Because the more space you find in the emptiness,
The more open you will be to receive.
You will be to give.
In and out.
Filling and emptying out.
Thank you so much for joining me.
Namaste.
