Welcome.
As part of this meditation.
We will visualize ourselves at different stages throughout our lives,
From infancy to who we are today.
We will picture moments when we felt fear or self-doubt.
And needed love and compassion.
We will then cultivate those positive feelings towards ourselves.
Let's begin.
You Sit comfortably.
Spine upright.
Shoulders relaxed.
Face relaxed.
Releasing any tension from the body.
Don't try to force anything.
Just allow yourself to be.
Close down your eyes.
Begin to breathe deeply.
Inhaling and exhaling fully and completely.
Continuing to breathe in this way.
Now relax further into the outward breath.
Extending the outward breath.
Releasing tension with every breath.
Extending the outward breath.
Deep breath in.
Extended breath out.
Deep breath in.
Extended breath out.
Continuing to breathe in this way,
Imagine yourself as a baby.
Picture yourself clearly.
Sending that baby your love.
Imagine that baby smiling back at you.
Completely innocent.
Free from any fear or doubt.
Fully open to your love and compassion.
Continue to extend your outward breath.
As you send that baby your positive feelings of love and compassion.
Breathing in… and out.
Now,
Recall a moment in your life when you were a young child.
And you felt some fear or self-doubt.
Perhaps for the very first time.
And did not receive the love and compassion you deserve.
Picture yourself clearly.
Notice any thoughts or emotions that arise.
Whether negative or positive,
Allowing them to be.
Send that young version of yourself.
Compassion and love.
Giving yourself the support you needed.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
You Now recall a moment in your young adult years.
When you felt fear or self-doubt.
And did not receive the love and compassion you need.
Picture yourself clearly.
Notice any thoughts or emotions that arise.
Whether negative or positive,
Allowing them to be.
Send that version of yourself.
Compassion and love.
Giving yourself the support you needed.
Breathing in.
.
.
And out.
Now,
Picture yourself as you are today.
Remembering the last time you felt fear or self-doubt.
And did not receive the love and compassion you needed.
Picture that moment clearly.
Notice any thoughts or emotions that arise.
Whether negative or positive,
Allowing them to be.
Now,
Send yourself the love and compassion that you need.
Feel those positive intentions filling your heart.
As you breathe in.
.
.
And out.
Now begin to notice the self that exists beyond these life phases.
The Self that has been there observing all along.
Sending this love and compassion.
Notice the steady quality of the cells.
Beyond any feelings,
Thoughts or emotions.
Simply existing there within.
Tune in to this subtle awareness.
Noticing the deeper layer of intention,
A finer level of feeling.
Like a faint hum beneath the surface.
Becoming aware of this constant aspect of your being.
Notice any elements of the self that draw you in.
And any that you want to push away.
Shine the light of your compassionate and loving awareness.
Upon all aspects of the Self.
Like a wide moonbeam.
Illuminating everything equally without distinction.
Now.
Return your awareness to the breath.
Releasing the extension of the outward breath.
Allowing the breath to flow naturally.
You letting go of that deeper layer of awareness.
Returning to the body.
You feeling the space that your body takes up in the air around it.
Notice your feet,
Your legs,
Your hips,
Your torso.
Your shoulders and arms.
Notice your hands and bring them to your heart.
Feeling your heartbeat.
Feeling the rise and fall of your breath.
Begin to shift and move the body.
Feeling yourself in your body.
Right here in this moment.
And in your own time.
Whenever you feel ready You may slowly open your eyes.
Take a moment to arrive back in the room.
This is how we practice Self-Realization Meditation.
We don't worry if the mind wandered or we lost the breath.
We simply keep coming back to directing our intention of love and compassion.
Towards ourselves over the years.
Eventually shifting our awareness to the Self that exists beyond the years.
Opening the mind and deepening our connection to our subtle awareness.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
And have a beautiful rest of your day.
