Welcome.
Begin.
By finding your most comfortable position.
This may be sitting on your yoga mat.
Lying down in your bed.
Or sitting in your most comfortable chair.
Simply settle into whatever feels supportive for you in this moment.
Allow your hands to rest gently.
And when you're ready,
Close or downcast your eyes.
Take a slow,
Deep breath through your nose.
And exhale softly through your mouth.
Again,
Breathe in.
And let it go.
One more time,
Breathing in everything this moment has to offer.
And breathing out everything you no longer wish to carry.
Today,
We honor the fall equinox.
The moment when day and night meet balance.
A turning point.
A threshold.
A gentle reminder that life is always moving through cycles.
Light and dark.
Growth and rest.
Holding on and letting go.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a quiet autumn forest.
You can feel the cool,
Crisp air on your skin.
The earth is beneath your feet.
Around you,
The trees are beginning their beautiful transformation.
Some leaves are still green.
While others have turned gold and amber and red.
And some have already returned to the earth.
Nothing is rushing.
Nothing is resisting.
The forest simply knows.
It is time to change.
Take another slow breath in.
And as you exhale,
Imagine releasing something that you're ready to leave behind.
Perhaps it's a worry.
And expectation.
An old story,
A habit,
A responsibility that was never truly yours.
Or simply.
.
.
Something that's completed its purpose.
You don't have to name it.
You don't have to force it away.
Simply acknowledge it and allow yourself to loosen the grip.
Imagine that placing that thing gently into your hands and rising them up into the autumn wind.
Watch as the wind carries it away.
Just as it carries the leaves from the trees.
Had noticed.
The tree does not become less because it's let go.
It becomes lighter.
Now bring your attention back to your breath.
Feel your body supported by the earth beneath you.
Feel the steadiness of the earth.
And imagine roots extending from your body down into the ground,
Deep.
Strong,
Steady roots.
And with every breath,
You become a little more grounded.
A little more present.
A little more at home within yourself.
The fall equinox reminds us that balance does not mean everything is equal all of the time.
Balance means listening.
Knowing when to move.
And when to rest.
Knowing when to speak.
I went to stay quiet.
Knowing when to reach outward.
And when to turn inward.
So gently ask yourself.
What is asking for my attention this season?
Don't search for an answer.
Simply listen.
Now ask yourself,
What am I ready to release?
What do I want to carry with me into the season ahead?
Perhaps it is courage.
Peace.
Joy.
Creativity.
Connection.
Abundance.
Trust.
Or simply the permission to be exactly where you are.
Now imagine that word settling into your heart.
And every breath allows it to become part of you.
As the days grow shorter,
Remember,
Darkness is not something to fear.
Darkness gives us space to rest,
To dream.
To listen.
To restore.
And to discover the wisdom that becomes easier to hear when the world grows quiet.
And within every season of darkness,
The light is still there.
Bring one hand to your heart and one hand to your belly and feel your breath moving between them.
Take a deep breath in.
And a slow exhale.
Offer yourself gratitude for everything you have carried.
Everything you have learned.
Everything you have released and everything that is still unfolding.
You do not need to know what comes next.
You only need to trust the turning of the wheel.
The season is changing,
And so are you.
Take one final,
Beautiful breath in.
And as you exhale,
Silently say to yourself,
I release what is complete.
I welcome what is becoming.
And I trust my own balance.
Begin to gently bring your awareness back to your space.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Notice the surface beneath you.
And when you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Carry your intention with you.
Carry the wisdom of the season and remember,
You are allowed to change.
You are allowed to release.
You are allowed to rest.
And you are always allowed to return to yourself.
Thank you for joining me.
Blessed Equinox.
