Ajahn Anan discusses the three components of the Buddha's dispensation: Material objects, people, and the Dhamma - the truth. He explains that we can achieve a cool, peaceful mind by intentionally cultivating wholesome thoughts and actions, such as giving alms and meditating. In contrast, thoughts rooted in anger and ill will create a turbulent mind. To overcome this, he emphasizes developing goodness, building merit, and practicing the Dhamma by cultivating morality, concentration, and wisdom (Sila, Samadhi, Paññā). The talk concludes by stating that this coolness of heart is what is referred to as Nibbāna, which can be cultivated in daily life through meditation and mindfulness.
