So the answer is when you are so complete in your being that there is no need of any sign to verify in what state you are, When you do not feel lacking anything, When there is nothing left to achieve, When you can clearly see that this moment is perfect and complete in itself, When the whole universe feels like a rising and falling tide in the ocean, When you are not affected by any circumstances or fluctuations around you, When you realize that you were never born and you can never die, When you can clearly see that you are not a doer and things are simply happening on its own, When you realize that you are not the dream but the screen where dream is being played, When you realize that you are not the moving clouds but the infinite sky which allows the clouds to move, When you feel that time and space are only concepts of mind, When you see that universe is perfect and does not need any amendment, When your mind cannot bother you anymore, When you are not limited to boundaries of this body, When you can feel the limitlessness of you, When you realize that there is nothing here except you, Then my friend, You will realize that you are always awake.
