ACIM Lesson 312 Prayer

"I see all things as I would have them be."

This lesson teaches that our perception follows our judgment, meaning we see what we have already decided to look upon. It emphasizes that what we choose to see is what we will see, as our vision is influenced by our intentions and desires. We are encouraged to take the Holy Spirit's purpose as our goal for seeing, which will lead us to perceive a liberated world free from our judgments. By doing so, we align our will with God's and open ourselves to seeing the world through Christ's loving perspective.

A Course in Miracles, Lesson 312 I see all things as I would have them be. Perception follows judgment. Having judged, We therefore see what we would look upon. Sight can merely serve to offer us what we would have. It is impossible to overlook what we would see and fail to see what we have chosen to behold. How surely must the real world come to greet the holy sight of anyone who takes the Holy Spirit's purpose as the goal for seeing. We cannot fail to look upon what Christ would have us see. We cannot fail to share Christ's love for what we look upon. I have no purpose for today except to look upon a liberated world, A world set free from all the judgments I have made. Father, A world set free from all the judgments I have made is your will for me today. Therefore it must be my goal as well. Perception follows judgment. Having judged, We therefore see what we would look upon. I see all things as I would have them be. Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.
