Welcome to this short grounding meditation,
My name's Acacia.
Find a seated or lying position that's comfortable for your body,
Aiming to be seated or lying in a way that is relaxing,
But you can also stay alert.
If you can,
Lengthen your spine,
Allow your shoulders to drop away from your ears,
Allow your jaw to relax and open and soften your belly,
Open your ears to the sounds that you can hear in the far distance,
Allowing your sense of sound to become attuned even more by dropping your eyelids or gazing softly,
Reducing the input from your sense of sight.
Feel into your seat,
Feel the way the earth holds you,
Lovingly.
Grounded down into her body,
Arrive here,
Let everything wait for you,
This moment is all there is and you're here meditating,
Know that you can get to anything you need to do after this little pocket of time you've paused for yourself,
Breathe in like a wave rolling into shore,
Send that breath all the way down your arms to your fingertips,
Down your legs to your toes,
To every part of your body,
As you breathe out,
The wave rolls out,
Tension leaving your body,
Continue to breathe like this,
Like a wave and you might picture that wave in your mind,
Rolling in and rolling out,
Allow the breath to come naturally and leave without too much effort,
An easy breath,
Notice how easily your body breathes in and out,
Feel that breath reaching into those far pockets of your body,
And if your mind wanders that's okay,
It's what the mind does,
Simply come back to that visual of the wave and the feeling of the breath,
Now sit and do nothing,
No trying,
No striving,
Just be here,
Notice what that feeling of no striving feels like,
And take this feeling with you into your day,
Thank you for joining me,
Have a beautiful day.
