Welcome to this class that's going to teach you more about the Catalyst archetype.
The Catalyst.
Magician,
Alchemist,
Visionary,
Healer.
The world is full of magic things,
Waiting for our senses to grow sharper.

An active Catalyst archetype recognizes that a person's belief determines their reality.
You sense that everything in the world and the universe is interconnected.
The serendipities,
Meaningful connections and butterfly effects of small shifts are easily noticeable to you.
You bring about transformation in yourself and others by shifting perceptions.
The part of you that's a Catalyst senses that our perception shapes our reality and as a result,
The Catalyst is always seeking to stretch the depths of their understanding of life.
Catalysts personify healing and transformation and inherently know how to make their vision a reality while bringing others along for the ride.
Catalysts are extremely self-aware,
Using tools like meditation,
Reflection,
Therapy and other methods to give them mental clarity so they can live in a way that aligns to their vision and purpose.
Catalysts bring about change through their energy,
Methods and personal truths that may be imperceptible to others.
The Catalyst notices coincidences and serendipities and the connection between events from a big picture point of view.
They're tuned into the impact of the ripples that compound from seemingly insignificant occurrences.
Catalysts make the connection between attitudes and outcomes and they easily recognize patterns that help them decode events that others might interpret as random.
The storyline that follows a Catalyst archetype starts with their need to look beyond the conventional,
To seek out the alternative point of view and to change the preconceived perception.
If they encounter challenges,
Catalysts will first reflect on and seek to change their own attitudes,
Perspectives and make the necessary behavioral adjustments to bring about the ripple effects that have the ability to transform entire systems.
Catalysts place their trust in clear intentions and believe that when those intentions take into consideration the well-being of all,
Then all will be well for all.
Activities and tasks fulfilling to a Catalyst involve healing and transformation.
They're motivated by effecting positive change in others and in themselves.
Catalysts see the small miracles that come about when people understand the intricacies of their minds,
Nature and universal truths.
The part of view that's a Catalyst finds happiness by uncovering the opportunities and choices inherent in any situation.
They're most happy when their interventions influence and enhance human-made systems.
They particularly love identifying the unseen potential in other people and take great joy in coaxing those potentials out.
As a leader,
Catalysts inspire others with their visions and encourage them to align with their deepest personal values and to collectively make dreams a reality.
Catalysts easily build flexibility into their structures and are willing to own their personal responsibility.
They collaborate well and create more magic collectively than individually.
Catalysts pick up on details and nuances that others might not notice and this makes them seem that they have otherworldly abilities.
Others often appreciate the magnetism and enthusiasm of a Catalyst but might also be wary of their powers of influence and receptivity.
Some might be skeptical about Catalysts who proclaim themselves to be a guru for fear that they themselves are being duped by sleight of hand or unknowable sorcery.
Catalysts might want to guard against their own susceptibility to the promises of gurus who make big claims of possessing magical-type powers and at the same time,
Catalysts would be wise not to follow the same route in their own positioning.
Those Catalysts who do fall under the spell of their own perceived power may end up making a mess and finding themselves having to manage unintended consequences.
Overconfidence in their ability after experiencing only a few supposed miracles is something for Catalysts to look out for.
If they don't,
They may become power-hungry and believe that muggle rules don't apply to them.
Underneath the story of the Catalyst exists a fear of being hopelessly powerless which might be masked by a substitute fear of not being able to manage the responsibility of their own knowledge and transformative abilities.
For some Catalysts,
The need to retain power becomes a form of protection.
The Catalyst recognizes that the knowledge and power they possess,
Which might not be shared by others,
Is a task that must not be taken lightly and they're obliged to ensure that their power is never used to harm or manipulate others.
Catalysts can benefit from taking a scientific approach to understanding how transformation happens,
Accepting others as they are without the need to change them,
Remaining humble,
Aware of any side effects of well-intentioned actions,
Staying grounded through routine work and being in nature,
Being part of a community that provides healthy feedback,
And balancing the virtues of a Catalyst with those of a Sage.
So let's take a look at the Catalyst and Sage balance.
Because the Catalysts might be deemed a bit woo-woo by others due to their penchant for unconventional practices and approaches,
They benefit from the balance that comes with real-world facts and conventions in the more traditional sense of reality.
Catalysts are balanced out by the skepticism that the Sage brings with them,
Encouraging them to measure and monitor their actions and results for themselves and others,
Taking a more scientific approach to change.
My hope is that after watching this class,
You've got more clarity about the Catalyst archetype.
Your assignment for this class is to share three ways in which you're going to start intentionally expressing your dominant archetype.
That could mean changing the way you dress or the jewelry you wear.
Or perhaps you're going to take up a new hobby that you've always wanted to do but you felt others wouldn't approve.
If it aligns with your archetype,
Start that hobby.
Or perhaps you're ready to make the commitment or to change your lifestyle to bring it more into alignment with who you inherently are.
I'd love to see a photo in the assignment section of whatever you choose as a representation of your expression of your archetype.
I'm excited to see how this awareness transforms your life.
