Hello friends,

My name is Wendy Bush and I'm going to read you a story called The Clumsy Dragon.

In a land where dragons soar,

Lived one who often found the floor,

A clumsy dragon big and bright,

With scales of green and eyes of light.

This dragon loved to fly and roam,

But never seemed to make it home.

For every time he took to flight,

He'd bump and stumble,

What a sight.

He'd try to catch a soaring star,

But always missed just by a spar.

He'd chase a breeze with all his might,

But ended tangled in the night.

His friends would laugh and kindly tease,

As he would trip over trees.

He crashed through clouds and landed in streams,

A dragon lost in tangled dreams.

One day he bumped into a sage,

Who read his clumsy ways like a page.

Your vision might be just the cause,

For all your mishaps and your flaws.

The sage then gave him glasses wise,

With lenses clear and framed in size.

Try these,

Said the sage with a grin,

And soon your troubles will grow thin.

The dragon put them on with care,

And looked around with wonder rare.

The world was sharp,

The stars were bright,

He saw the trees,

The clouds,

The night.

He soared with grace through skies once hazy,

No longer did his flights seem crazy.

He dodged the branches and caught the stars,

And left behind his clumsy scars.

His friends were awestruck by the change,

No longer did his flights seem strange.

The dragon's world had come in view,

With every sight so fresh and new.

He thanked the sage with all his heart,

For giving him a brand new start.

The glasses gave him sight and grace,

And brought a smile to his brave face.

Now when you see him in the sky,

With sparkling eyes and wings held high,

Remember how he learned to see,

With glasses soaring wild and free.
