This poem gives voice to the often unspoken feelings of uncertainty and disconnection that arise during major life transitions. It speaks to the quiet, empty moments that can feel ungrounded, reminding you that these emotions are a natural part of your growth. Let this reflective piece offer comfort as you honor the importance of these in-between spaces on your journey. Music Credit: Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!): By Brock Hewitt: Rule of Life

I'm not an animal.

I'm human,

I think.

Yet,

How am I to know?

Maybe I'm neither,

But dead.

Because lately,

And by lately I mean all of the moments previous to this one,

Everything seems to be floating.

Almost like there's no gravity about five meters surrounding my entire existence.

It's happening around me,

And yet I can't make my fingers grasp onto anything solid.

Like,

I'm the illusion.

I'm not really here.

A projection.

A mirage.

That it's not real enough to hold a single molecule.

It's like I don't belong in this moment.

That I'm blipping through.

I'm moving so fast,

Outgrowing each timeline.

Eventually,

You would think that my hands would be able to feel the richness and solidness of the grass.

Maybe I get to be human tomorrow,

But I would settle for being an animal.
