Let's meditate on gratitude.
Find a comfortable seat.
Settle into your breath.
Take in all five senses at once.
And allow yourself genuine relaxation.
Take a slow drink of breath in through your nose,
Widening your nostrils,
Lifting your eyebrows,
Making space in your face.
Zip in a little more at the top.
And then purse your lips and blow out all your air.
Send in a little kiss to the universe.
No matter what cards you've been dealt in this present moment.
Breathe in again.
Soft face,
Soft shoulders,
Soft body.
Sip in more.
And breathe out.
Letting go of what you don't need.
Continue to breathe like this and find your awareness resting on your heart.
And see if you can feel into its beat.
And feel the implicit energy of love that lives in your center,
In your heart.
And then can we find gratitude for the fact that love exists?
For the fact that we get to experience glimpses of it.
To varying degrees and depths.
Call into mind one experience you felt a real genuine sense of love within.
And then just rest in that moment and all the sensations that come with it for a few rounds of breath.
Think and feel the words,
Thank you.
And let the energy of gratitude reverberate from deep within you.
Thank whatever you believe in for your experience of life.
Allow that gratitude to be all-encompassing.
Not just the easy stuff like we just thought about,
But the lessons that the darkness that we must experience teaches us.
The darkness is our teacher.
The light is our home.
One can't exist without the other.
So in a way,
Your darkness makes you whole.
Gratitude for the lessons of your pain.
And for the blessings of your joys.
And everything that comes in between.
Return to your breath.
And find big gratitude for it.
For this process,
This biological process that keeps you tethered to life so that you can experience love and heartbreak and every other color of existence.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
