The lamp on my office desk,
Tangerines,
Persimmons,
Oranges,
Sweet peppers,
My Grammy's lipstick,
The color of my other grandmother's hair,
Flagging tape outlining property at the beginning of construction,
Ripe pumpkins and butternut squash,
Sunstones,
Monarch butterflies in the sky above,
Tiger lilies in the community gardens,
A blazing fire,
Marigolds strung to mark the place of ceremony,
Carrot juice at the farmer's market,
The fall leaves,
The blaze of the sun as it rises and sets,
The electric orange highlighter you use to capture the best things you discovered in your books.
Orange vibrates with the sound VAM,
V-A-M,
VAM,
VAM,
VAM.
Connected with the sacral chakra,
This orange glow lives in the center of the pelvis in your body.
Orange is joyful,
Passionate,
And pleasurable.
This color calls our attention to our creativity,
Enthusiasm,
And spirit,
Helping us feel inspired to create all that we desire.
