Welcome to the still point,
A meditation for regaining a sense of control,
For moments when things feel uncertain or overwhelming.
If you've landed here,
You might be feeling unsteady,
Like things are moving too fast or slipping through your fingers.
This is your space to pause,
To come back to yourself,
And to remember,
Control doesn't always come from grasping tighter,
It can come from grounding deeper.
Begin by getting still,
Either sitting upright with your feet planted on the floor,
Or lying down with your body supported.
Let your hands rest softly,
Close your eyes,
Or gently lower your gaze.
Let's begin by checking in.
Bring your awareness first to your physical body.
Are you holding tension in your jaw?
In your stomach?
Just notice it.
No need to change,
Simply name what you feel.
Bring your awareness to your emotional state.
What's moving through you today?
Maybe it's anxiety,
Sadness,
Frustration,
Or even a numbness that's hard to describe.
Whatever's here,
Let it be okay.
If you're tired or restless,
Just notice.
No matter how wonderful or difficult you're feeling,
I want you to begin to gently breathe into those sensations,
All without resistance.
You can say to yourself,
It's okay to be right where I am.
Inhale into your belly,
Letting your belly soften completely.
Exhale,
Imagine the breath traveling upward.
Each breath in says,
Each breath out says.
You can let out a sigh,
A yawn,
Whatever your body needs in order to let go.
In each breath,
You are reconnecting with the one thing,
Your response.
