
Gayatri Mantra Ghana-Complete

Includes the Mahāvyāhṛti Prefix, as well as the parts: Samhita (Connected), Krama (Step), Jata (Arrangement), Ghana (Solid/Complete) The Mahāvyāhṛti formula Bhur Bbhuvaḥa Svaḥa prefixed to the verse refers to: Earth, Air, Heavens. These are the names of the first three of the seven ‘vyahṛti’ or higher worlds of cosmology. Here in its traditional form the Gayatri is preceded by the complete verse: Bhuhu (Earth), Bhuvaha (Air), Suvaha (Heavens), Mahaha (Universe), Janaha (Mysteries), Tapaha (Creation), Satyam (Truth) AUM tat sa̍vi̠tur vare̎nya̠m (That Sun which we honor) bhargo̍ de̠vasya̍ dhimahi (Provides clarity even to Angels) dhiyo̠ yo na̍ḥ praco̠ daya̎ ta (May my devotion bring this clarity from within me) .
