Good morning.
My name is Thaddeo Mundawarara and.
.
.
I'm a teacher here on Insight Timer.
And.
.
.
I love the mornings.
Mornings are probably my favorite day.
Favorite part of the day.
The practice today is about.
.
.
Allowing you the time.
To simply Start.
In the morning,
Typically the lists start getting made.
The plans are being put into place.
At times we begin with everything that's wrong.
But the body knows.
And if we allow the body.
.
.
Body will remind us of what?
Is right.
And so that's what this practice.
Is all about.
So.
Find yourself in a comfortable place.
Give yourself the gift of these next few minutes to simply watch.
To listen.
Let's go.
Before your mind starts its list.
Before.
Before the thoughts.
Before the day makes its demands upon you.
Our body already knows.
Your body already knows what it is.
What it's grateful for.
So this morning we allow it to spread.
So simply take a deep breath in now.
Close your eyes.
Another deep breath in.
And with a long,
Compassionate breath,
Exhale.
And bring your full attention to it,
Not to control.
Just to notice how we breathe.
Allow the cadence to happen.
Your lungs are working right now.
They're expanding,
They're contracting.
Without instruction,
Without effort,
Without direction from you.
Heart is beating right now.
As it has been every second of every minute of every hour of every day.
For our entire life.
For a moment,
Let that land.
Your heart has never taken a day off.
Your heart has never asked for recognition.
A bonus of pay rise.
Just keep going.
Showing up.
Clocking in.
Bring your attention to your hands.
Feel them,
If need be bring them to your nose and smell them and think of everything that those hands have held.
Everything those hands have built.
Everyone they've touched.
Now feel your eyes.
And even though they're closed right now.
They've shown you sunrise.
Sunsets.
Love on a person's face.
Experiences that you've had,
Images that have changed and shaped and will live with you.
Forever.
Now your ears.
Those ears have heard music.
You've heard music that's moved you to tears,
Laughter that's made you forget everything else.
Or a voice that made you felt like there was nobody else.
In the world.
Your body has carried you.
My body has carried me.
It's carried you through every hard day.
Through every long day you've ever had.
Every single one.
Your body is being there.
It's never left you.
So let's take a deep breath in now.
And exhale.
That's gratitude.
Before the mind gets involved.
This is the body saying quietly without words.
I am here.
I have always been here.
And I remain.
And feel that.
Bring a gentle smile to your face and feel the connection of that certainty.
At your body.
Like yourself has always been there and will always be there.
Collectively,
They will always be your best friend.
Liable.
Place one hand on your chest.
Two if you can and two if you need to,
And feel your heartbeat.
And say the words.
And with that we take one last deep breath in.
Exhale.
Open your eyes.
And good morning.
This feeling with you.
Through the rest of today.
