Oh,
Dear one.
Today's meditation invites you to connect with your body through the chakra system.
The chakras are our main energy centers in our body.
There are seven main energy centers or vortexes beginning at the crown of your head and working our way down to the root chakra.
These energy centers can affect our physical,
Mental,
And spiritual well-being.
Emotional.
And spiritual well-being.
I welcome you to do this practice either seated or lying down.
Whichever you choose.
Invite you to find your comfortable position with your arms resting by your side or in your lap.
Gently close your eyes or a soft gaze downward.
And begin to notice your breath without changing it,
Simply noticing the ebb and flow of your breath through your body.
With your next inhale,
Draw a breath from your toes.
Up through your legs.
Your torso.
And all the way to your head.
And on your exhale,
Notice your breath moving from the crown of your head down through your body to your toes.
Continue these full,
Deep breaths.
And begin to visualize the flow of breath.
Moving through your body.
Like a current in the river.
The next time your breath is in the lower part of your body.
Allow it to stay there.
Begin to bring attention to your toes.
The soles of your feet.
Your heels.
Your ankles.
And allow your feet to relax.
You moving up your leg,
Allowing your shins to soften and your calves to relax.
Release any tension in your kneecaps or the back of your knees.
Moving upward to your hamstrings.
Your quants.
Allowing them to soften and relax.
Continue to your glutes and allow them to melt into the surface beneath you.
Shift your awareness now to the base of your spine.
This is the first chakra,
Your root chakra.
Each chakra has a color associated with it.
The root chakra's color is red.
Begin to bring the color red to mind.
Vision and drawing a circle around the base of your spine.
Flowing naturally with your breath.
The root chakra symbolizes safety,
Security.
And stability.
Notice if the circle is moving and if so,
What is the speed and which direction is it moving?
No need to analyze that,
Just simply notice.
Allow the circle to begin to open up as it creates roots that make their way down into the earth.
Sit with those roots feeling secure and grounded.
And gently allow those images to slowly fade away.
Softly moving to our next chakra,
The sacral chakra located in our pelvis area or lower abdomen.
If it feels supportive,
You can gently place your hands there.
Breathe slowly and gently into that space.
The color of the sacral chakra is orange and it is associated with creativity,
Sensuality and pleasure.
Notice any feelings that arise.
Is this okay?
Begin to bring to mind an orange triangle pointed downward as though it is lying over that space.
How does it feel?
Where do you feel it?
Allow the triangle to move if it wants to,
Simply witnessing it with curiosity.
Now begin to allow it to fade away.
And rest your hands wherever it feels comfortable.
Begin to bring awareness to the rest of your abdomen.
Lower it back.
And red capes.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath as your ribs expand and contract.
We are moving into your solar plexus chakra.
The solar plexus is associated with the color yellow and your personal power.
Visualize a small yellow circle in the center.
Begin to watch it expand.
Full of heat and strength like the sun.
It is glowing.
Radiating full of life.
Feel the expansion empowering you.
What you notice.
Really seeing that vision.
Begin to allow the circle to fade away.
Still holding the inner fire,
The inner strength within.
Move your awareness to your chest.
Your upper back.
Your heart space.
Which is also your heart chakra.
With the color green.
It represents love.
Compassion.
And forgiveness.
If you'd like,
Place your hands over your heart.
Imagine that space filling up with love.
Compassion.
In the color green.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath.
And breathe into both the front and back of that space.
Continuing to fill the space,
Begin to notice if anything arises.
Mother Earth has changed.
A word.
And emotion.
Whatever it is,
I love space for it with love and compassion.
The other piece of the heart chakra represents forgiveness.
Gently ask yourself,
Is there someone I can offer forgiveness to in this moment?
It might be yourself.
Someone you know personally.
Or otherwise.
Whatever comes up is meant to be.
Be gentle with yourself during this time,
Sending out forgiveness if you feel ready.
Now come back to the color green,
Filling up your heart space.
Allow your hands to relax down by your side if you'd like,
And the color green to fade away.
Continuing to move through our chakras,
Bring awareness to your neck and your throat.
As you focus on this area,
Notice any sensations or emotions that rise up with gentleness and curiosity.
The color associated with the throat chakra is blue.
Imagine the color blue filling up this space.
Perhaps it's flowing up and down your throat.
Maybe it's filling it up like a cylinder or perhaps blue is encircling your neck.
Whatever it is doing,
Breathe into the space and notice your breath connecting with the color blue.
The throat chakra is connected to communication,
Truth,
And expression.
Take a moment here to witness what this chakra has for you.
In your next breath,
Allow the blue light to fade away.
As we continue to move upward,
Allow your face to soften.
Your cheeks to relax.
Notice the breath moving in and out of your nose.
Invite relaxation into your eyes.
In your ears.
Bring attention to the space between your brows.
This is our third eye or brow chakra where we connect with our intuition and inner wisdom.
Breathe into the space and allow your brow and forehead to relax.
With your eyes still closed,
Gently lift your gaze slightly upward if it feels comfortable,
Gazing into the space.
Your body and your energy are so wise and great teachers.
As you continue to gaze into the space,
Begin to imagine the color indigo forming the shape of a diamond,
Indicating the gem of wisdom this chakra has to offer you.
Gently as.
.
.
What wisdom do you have for me today?
Allow your face to soften again if you notice any tension and breathe.
Thank this chakra for the insight and allow the diamond and indigo color to fade away.
Now moving to our final chakra,
Which is located at the top of your head.
Bring your attention to that space and allow it to begin to hover.
Almost like a soft cap resting on your head.
This area is your crown chakra.
The color of the crown chakra is violet,
With the characteristics of clarity,
Spirituality,
And purpose.
Your inward gaze can still be lifted if that feels comfortable,
As though you are gazing into that space above your head.
As you continue to gaze into and feel that space above your head.
In your mind,
Begin to create a violet-colored circle hovering just above your head.
Allow it to move as it pleases,
Just noticing it.
Still allowing your face to soften and your ears to relax.
Ask if there are any messages the crown chakra has for you today.
Offering gratitude to this chakra,
Gently allow the color and shape to fade away.
Connecting back to your full body on your next inhale,
Draw up breath from your toes.
Up through your legs and torso.
Back up to your head.
And on your exhale,
Notice your breath moving from the top of your head.
Down through your body.
To your toes.
Continue those full,
Deep,
Slow breaths,
Noticing the flow of breath moving through your body like a beautiful current.
Beginning to come back into the space.
Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Gently wiggle your fingers.
Your toes.
Perhaps slowly rolling your head from side to side or stretching your arms overhead.
If you lay down and are ready to sit up.
First gently roll over to one side,
Cradling your head.
Softly make your way back to seated.
Placing your hands over your heart.
Offer gratitude for this time.
For your energy.
For the insights.
And for your body.
Taking one more full breath together,
Take a soft inhale.
In a gentle exhale.
Gently blink your eyes open.
Welcome back.
And until next time.
Take good care.
Namaste.
