All there is Along the riverside I paused as the water flowed and I could see All there is,
And all there was,
And all that there would be The wind was breathless still,
But the birds continued their song Trilling as they often will,
Not minding I didn't belong Maybe stories are just stories,
And songs just bits of rhyme To distract us from our worries and the way time passes by But every day the birds still sing,
And so it seems must I I looked up at the distant stars,
And they looked down on me And saw all there is,
And all there was,
And all that there would be Further away than I can comprehend,
They live and die and burn Across galaxies their light extends,
To us who look and yearn Maybe we're just pretending,
In our roles that we each play We ignore the upcoming ending,
That the curtain will close one day But still the show continues on,
It's not for the crowd anyway We aren't promised someday,
We know tomorrow never comes So let us live in the moment we're living,
And listen to our heart as it drums Delighting in the knowledge that we are each of us God's poems
