Hi everyone,
I'm Stephanie Boxer Baum.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today.
I really believe it's so important to have a community when we practice so I'm really grateful to be spending this time with you.
For today's practice,
We're going to be doing an evening reconnection meditation.
Oftentimes,
As we all know,
We come home from work or whatever we're doing and the night just continues on and then we go to sleep and we wake up and the days just bleed into one.
So it's really helpful to take some time to practice reconnecting with yourself.
So I'll be leading this practice.
It will be heavily guided.
If that's something you're not into for today,
I have many other practices that have less guidance.
But for this one,
I'm really going to help guide through this reconnection process.
So finding a comfortable seat and really that means whatever is comfortable and feels supportive to you today.
That could be laying down,
You can be sitting up,
You could be doing even mindful walking if that's what feels better for you today.
Whatever you choose,
You really want to find something that feels supportive to you.
So finding that place,
Gently closing your eyes or finding a soft gaze,
Beginning to take a deep breath in and a gentle exhale out.
Sensing in to feeling the body.
Perhaps noticing your feet on the ground.
Really grounding into the space that you are in today.
Can you see perhaps where you're holding some tension?
Maybe in the face,
Relaxing the head,
The jaw,
Letting go of the tension.
If it feels comfortable,
Perhaps maybe shrugging your shoulders gently up and down a few times.
If that feels good to you today.
Releasing the tension.
And on this next inhale,
Breathing deeply in and on the exhale,
Allowing the breath to go all the way down to the feet.
Almost watching in your mind's eye,
This beautiful breath,
Breathing in,
Filling the lungs and sending ease all the way down to your feet.
Can you sense in to what ease feels like?
Letting go of the thoughts.
Coming back to the breath.
Reconnecting with that part of yourself that deserves ease.
Grounding.
Feeling centered.
Gentle inhale in.
A deep exhale out all the way through to the feet.
And now using a little bit of supportive touch.
If it feels comfortable today,
Placing a hand on your heart or wherever feels good for you.
Just reminding yourself that this is a place you can always come back to.
No matter what external circumstance has pulled you in whatever direction has happened today.
Your internal circumstances in this moment of grounding can guide you.
Allowing the mind to settle.
Continuing to focus in on the breath.
We can let go to bring in the good.
On this next inhale in.
Maybe taking any stretches that feel good to you.
That represent this reconnective moment to yourself.
Maybe wiggling the fingers and toes if that feels comfortable.
Coming back to an easy breath and feeling into the surroundings around you.
And allowing this centered reset connection to stay with you throughout the rest of your day.
And when you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today and I hope to be meditating again with you soon.
And as always,
Remember that you are enough as is.
I'll see you soon.
