Hello and welcome to Shu,
Love,
Yoga and Breath.
My name is Natalie.
This is a quick yoga nidra practice for the mom who feels invisible.
I invite you to take a slow,
Gentle breath exactly where you are.
Whether you're sitting on the edge of a bed,
Standing at a noisy kitchen counter,
Or hiding in the bathroom with eyes full of tears,
You are not alone.
You spend so much of your life making sure everyone else is cared for.
Your efforts,
Your own needs,
Your whole sense of self might feel like they faded into the background.
Right now,
For the next few minutes,
Know that you are seen.
You are allowed to take up space.
Let's now bring your awareness back to the only person who's breathing your breath.
Inhale softly through your nose 2 3 4 Exhale smoothly through your nose 2 3 4 Inhale softly 2 3 4 Exhale smoothly 2 3 4 Inhale 2 3 4 Exhale 2,
3,
4.
Inhale 2,
3,
4.
Exhale 2,
3,
4.
Return to your natural breath.
Allowing your body to breathe itself.
You do not need to perform,
Just notice the air moving inside of you,
Gently anchoring you into your own body.
Allow the following truth to sink deep into your awareness as you repeat it silently to yourself after me.
I am here.
I matter.
I am seen.
I am here.
I matter.
I am seen.
I am here.
I matter.
I am seen.
Let those words settle and soften your heart.
Let's invite ease into your physical body.
Soften the crown of your head.
Relax the muscles around your eyes,
Letting the tension melt away.
Loosen your jaw,
Creating space between your teeth.
Drop your shoulders away from your ears.
Allow a wave of relaxation to flow down your arms and down your legs into your fingertips and your toes.
Feel the solid surface beneath you,
Holding you up.
Exactly as you are.
Your whole body is supported.
Your whole body is relaxed.
Bring your attention to your heart center.
Noticing the beat of your heart.
As your intention returns to you.
Repeat it silently after me.
I am here.
I matter.
I am seen.
I am here.
I matter.
I am seen.
I am here.
I matter.
I am seen.
When you are ready,
Bring some gentle movement to your fingers and toes.
Nod your head.
Take one more deep,
Comforting breath into your chest.
Step back into your day knowing that your existence is beautiful.
Namaste
