Before you begin,
Don't try to relax.
Don't try to clear your mind.
Don't try to become a different version of yourself.
Just arrive.
Exactly as you are.
Sometimes we think a new beginning means becoming someone completely different.
But I don't think that's true.
I think a new beginning is simply giving yourself permission to stop carrying.
Well,
It was never yours to hold.
Maybe you've been carrying disappointment,
Maybe regret,
Maybe fear.
Maybe someone else's expectations,
Maybe your own.
Whatever it is,
You don't have to solve it right now.
You only have to notice that you've been carrying it.
Take one slow breath.
Not because you have to,
But because you deserve one.
I'd like to invite you to set an intention,
Not for the year,
Not even for tomorrow,
Just for this chapter.
Ask yourself.
Who do I want to become?
While I walk through what's coming next.
Notice I didn't ask what you want.
I asked who.
Because the person you're becoming matters more than anything you'll ever accomplish.
Maybe your intention is,
I want to become someone who trusts herself or himself.
Or I want to become someone who speaks kindly.
To myself.
Or maybe I want to become someone who finally believes they're worthy of peace.
Whatever came to your heart,
Hold it gently,
Not tightly,
Like holding a little bird,
With care,
With patience,
With love.
Now imagine standing in front of a door.
Not a magical door,
Just an ordinary wooden door.
It has scratches,
Little marks,
Signs that many people have walked through before you.
Behind it is your next chapter.
You don't know exactly what's waiting.
Neither does anyone else.
And that's okay.
Because courage has never been about knowing.
It's always been about taking the next step.
Place your hand on the door knob.
Notice something surprising.
The door has never been locked.
It never asks you to be perfect.
It never asks you to have all the answers.
It has only been waiting for you to believe you were allowed to open it.
Take a slow breath.
And when you feel ready,
Open the door.
Walk through the door.
Notice the light.
Notice the fresh air.
Notice how much quieter it feels here.
Not because your life suddenly became easy.
But because you stopped bringing yesterday into today.
Return to your intention.
See yourself living it.
Not perfectly,
Just honestly.
One conversation.
One choice.
One morning.
One breath at a time.
That's how new beginnings are created,
Not all at once,
But little by little.
As we finish,
I hope you remember something.
Life will always offer another beginning.
Sometimes tomorrow.
Sometimes next month,
Sometimes years from now.
But the most important beginning is the one where you finally decide.
I deserve to begin again.
Thank you for spending this time with me.
I'll meet you here again soon,
But until then,
Take care of your heart and take care of yourself.
