Good morning and welcome to a morning meditation on gratitude.

Just a quick prayer to really just start out the day really rooted and grounded in gratitude.

I've been reading and studying a lot.

I'm really just trying to breathe into and integrate into the idea that when you're feeling lack,

When you're feeling overwhelmed,

Gratitude works as a magnet to pull in closer abundance and what you actually desire versus focusing on what you don't want to happen,

What isn't going right.

It kind of works more as a repellent to what you actually want to call in.

So even when I'm struggling to see in my life it truly reflecting what I am really just praying with all my heart to feel closer to,

I start out my day with just giving thanks.

Even when it feels like a sticky place to come.

So I wanted to offer this up.

There may be sounds coming and going as we are living in a part of this world.

But take this opportunity just to take a few minutes to get comfortable.

Maybe you just want to sit somewhere that feels grounding for you in this moment.

It can just be a spot right in front of you where you are.

You could be sitting in a car,

In a chair,

In a car,

Hopefully not driving,

Pull over.

Maybe you're in a soft spot,

Still in bed even,

Where you can lay comfortably.

See if maybe moving the pillow out of the way or anything,

Any slight adjustments you could make to take up a little more space and feel really comfortable.

I'm grateful that we are here.

We both,

We all as a collective that are here today.

We woke up this morning and a lot of people did not.

Even just starting out,

Feeling gratefulness for that,

It's very potent.

We are here.

We have another chance for today.

This sweet and short prayer of gratitude is just to start the day again in thankfulness,

To practice being grateful for what is.

Any words that you don't resonate with,

You can just move past,

Replace with your own.

This is just a prayer I wrote today.

God,

Creator,

Lord,

All powerful,

Pure divine essence,

Great mother,

Goddess that holds spark of light from the infinite container of pure wisdom.

Thank you for waking me up today.

Thank you for breath and a beating heart.

Thank you to this body that holds my spirit,

My dreams,

My fears,

And my desires.

And thank you,

Body,

For your ability to also let go what is not serving me.

Thank you to the sun,

Wind,

Rain,

All the elements that remind us we are always changing.

Thank you for the reminder that all things change and change is God.

Thank you for the plant life that give us oxygen and sustain this earth without asking for anything in return.

Thank you to the water that we are made from.

Thank you for the opportunity to live among the winged,

Hoofed insects,

All things alive,

All beings.

Thank you for the reminder of the impermanence of all of this and how important it is that we tell and share and show the love in our hearts every single day.

Thank you for the teachers that come in and out of our life through the relationships that we have,

Through people that we love,

Through times we feel alone.

Always teaching us the importance of tethering together,

The dark and the light.

And maybe just taking a second to think of anything that touched you recently that you want to offer some gratitude for.

Maybe even just realizing that we are at a place in society where some of us have a safe place to be praying and saying thanks.

It hasn't always been like that.

Where we have access to technology and ways to connect with each other when some might otherwise be alone.

Even thanking our mind and spirit's capacity to be able to dream up a new way to exist when all signs around us are showing us that the old ways are crumbling.

Knowing that we are limitless in our capacity when we're able to give thanks for what is.

Just take a deep breath into your belly,

Feeling up all the space up through your upper back and then exhale with an open mouth,

Let it go.

Inhale again through the belly,

Up into the chest,

Hold at the top.

Keep holding,

Drop your shoulders down.

Keep holding,

Soften your jaw.

Exhale with an open mouth,

Let it go.

One more breath,

Deep inhale through the nose,

Feeling up the belly.

Hold at the top.

Soften your jaw,

Hold at the top.

Exhale with an open mouth,

Let it go.

Feeling your toes and your fingers,

If that's available.

Maybe circle your neck.

When you're ready,

Slowly open up your eyes,

Blinking them softly.

Let's do today,

Let's get it.

This is Sarah White,

Peace and love till next time.

Have a beautiful journey.
