Hi,
I'm Ali Helmuth and this is a guided breathing exercise to help you find relief from feelings of stress,
Anxiety and overwhelm.
This is an amazing tool that will help you feel calmer and clearer in the short term.
In the long term will help you feel more at peace and resilient.
Today's practice is very accessible.
All you need is a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
So we'll be doing a practice called coherent breath work and there are two key elements to it.
First of all is breathing in and out slowly following the guidance of the track and second of all in and out through the nose.
If you have any health concerns or are pregnant please consult your doctor before carrying out this practice.
So let's begin.
Start by getting into a comfortable position either lying down or seated and gently closing your eyes and as you settle down and relax your body,
I'll start to introduce the breathing rhythm to follow along to.
Breathing in and out.
I'm just getting comfortable with his breathing rhythm.
He wants to feel nice and relaxed so you're not straining at the top or the bottom.
He wants to feel really natural.
Staying with this rhythm,
Inviting deeper relaxation into your body.
So softening all your muscles,
Feeling your shoulders dropping,
Feeling your jaw and your tongue loosening.
Feeling your eyes and the space between your eyes relaxing as you welcome deeper and deeper relaxation into your body with this breath.
Know that it's okay if you drift off into thought,
Into experience or into sleep.
It's not about controlling,
It's just about letting it all happen and just being with your breath.
I will leave you here to enjoy the rest of this track.
I hope you have a beautiful day and thank you for listening.
