It's now time for deep restorative rest and healing.
This Yoga Nidja Gift.
Is designed just for you.
Rest in a sacred healing space.
And allow your body and your spirit to reclaim its resilience and power.
So find a cozy place.
It could be in your bed.
On a floor or even a couch.
Yoga Nidra is traditionally meant to lie down.
It could be any position.
And I would recommend having some sweet luxury in your rest.
So pillows.
Blankets,
Eye covering if that's comfy and maybe even a stuffed animal or a crystal.
Just make this a cozy sacred practice.
Take a moment to just tuck yourself in now as you're getting yourself cozy treat yourself like you would tuck in a child or a pet Just so much love.
Now as you settle in,
Take a deep inhale through the nose.
With a slightly longer breath through the mouth.
Inhale through the nose.
Longer exhale mouth.
We're going to start this practice with a breathing exercise called Chandra Breath or Moon Breath.
This breath is designed to help you connect the more restful,
Soft,
And creative side.
So you'll take your right hand up to your nose and seal the right nostril using any finger and take a slow inhale through the left nostril.
And then seal the left nostril and exhale through the right nostril.
Seal the right,
Inhale through the left.
Seal the left,
Exhale through the right.
Again,
Inhale,
Left side.
Exhale,
Right.
Breathe in through the left.
Breathe out through the right.
Just do three more.
And then just cozy up.
Feel the sensation of the surface you're resting on.
Begin to unclench the jaw.
And just allow the thinking mind to start dissolving.
Feeling the body resting.
And in Yoga Nidra,
We like to call in a sankalpa,
The powers of intention,
Like your North Star.
Sankalpa for this practice today is.
I am filled with peace.
I am filled with peace and my faith is strong.
And just quietly repeat that in your own mind three times.
And now to help the body sink a little deeper into relaxation,
We'll move through a body scan.
Moving our awareness from point to point through our physical body.
So just do your best to follow the sound of my voice.
Could you bring your awareness to the forehead?
Feel the wrinkles of the forehead soft.
The left eyebrow.
Right eyebrow,
Left temple,
Right temple.
Left eye,
Right eye.
Could you feel both eyes at the same time?
And the eyes are resting here.
The eyes are resting.
The left cheek.
Right cheek.
Left ear.
Sound going into the left ear.
To the right ear.
Sound in the right ear.
Could you notice both ears taking in sounds at the same time?
The space in between the ears.
The roof of the mouth.
Floor of the mouth.
Inside both cheeks.
Tip of the tongue The top tier.
And the bottom teeth.
The whole back of the jaw.
Space in between the lips.
Chen.
Feel the whole head.
The whole head resting here.
Center of the throat.
Awareness to your beating heart.
The altar of your heart resting in peace and in faith.
The left shoulder.
Left elbow.
The inside wrist.
Palm of the hand.
All five fingers of the left hand.
And the fingertips.
Do you sense your left hand and left arm resting?
To the right shoulder.
The elbow.
Inside of the wrist.
Right palm.
All five fingers of the right hand.
Fingertips.
And the right hand and arm.
Resting.
Both hands and both arms resting in the presence of peace and faith.
Could you sense the ribcage?
The sides of the waist.
Hips.
Left hip.
Left knee.
The ankle.
Top of the foot.
Soul of the foot.
Left toes.
And the left foot and leg resting.
The right hip.
Me.
Ankle top of the foot.
Soul of the foot.
Right toe.
And the right foot and leg resting.
Both feet,
Both legs,
Resting in the presence of peace and faith.
Feel your whole body now.
Your whole body sinking down.
As if the bones of your body could meet Mother Earth.
So at peace here.
Everything in this moment is okay.
It's okay.
To let go and trust.
Trust divine presence.
That's in you.
All around you.
Could you begin to feel the soft presence of your breath?
Without controlling the breath.
Just feel it moving on its own.
As the belly rises.
And the belly fall.
This soft ripple waves of breath.
That.
Brings subtle changes and cleanses the body with each breath you take.
Like an ocean in your body.
As the waves of breath move in.
And the waves of breath move out.
Just follow the breath.
Let it be effortless.
As you follow the waves of breath.
And as you rest deeper,
See if you can get those ripple waves to be even slower.
Smaller and smaller.
As if the breath was almost paused.
Many sips of air move in and out.
As you witness this place of stillness.
The pause.
Peace.
Right here.
As peace.
And now behind closed eyes.
Could you imagine?
Walking barefoot through a tall redwood forest.
Walking barefoot through a tall redwood forest.
Standing tall on a mountaintop,
Feeling peace.
Standing tall on a mountaintop,
Feeling peace.
Sitting beneath.
A waterfall.
Letting the water cleanse your soul.
Sitting beneath the waterfall.
Just allowing the water to cleanse your soul.
Lying beneath the night sky.
The Milky Way stretched out wide.
In the mystery of stars.
As you remember your ancestors.
Lying beneath the star-filled sky.
Remembering.
Your ancestors.
Your body resting right here.
All your guides all that you deeply believe in.
Is resting here with you.
So rest deeply.
Endless peace exists all around.
Be still.
Feel peace.
All the planets.
Stars.
The hidden spirits.
Ancestors.
They all have your back.
So just rest,
My dear one.
Be held and receive this gift of peace.
And now begin to slowly invite.
.
.
Your awareness to the edges of your physical body.
Come back to feeling your pillows and blankets and even the room you're in.
Inch by inch you come back,
Bringing the peace and faith with you.
Place your hands over your heart.
Take three deep breaths into your heart and hands.
Thank yourself for your hard work your dedication.
To finding you,
To growing,
To healing.
To being a part of the collective.
May you carry this peace with you in your day.
Namaste.
