Hello my lovelies.
Today's meditation is about resetting your nervous system and coming back into a state of safety and trust in your body.
Take this moment as permission to set everything down.
Maybe you have a long list of things to do.
Maybe you have a million subtle whisperings.
Of things you should do or shouldn't do or haven't done.
Or maybe you feel the gentle or not so gentle tug of other people's demands for you to perform.
To behave.
To show up in a certain way.
Now is the time.
To let all of that go.
You do not need to solve your life right now.
You only need to return to your body.
And trust that your body remembers how to soften.
How to be.
And as we begin,
Take one slow breath in through your nose.
And a long,
Easy breath out through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale gently through your nose.
Like drawing in morning light and exhale slowly through your mouth like silk unspooling.
Let your shoulders fall away from your ears.
As you continue to breathe.
In through your nose.
In and out through your mouth.
Let your jaw soften with your breath.
Let the muscles around your eyes grow quiet.
Feel the weight of your body.
Sink into you.
As you move more deeply with your breath into yourself.
Inhale through your nose and feel your breath filling up your belly.
Exhale and release emotions that were never yours to carry.
In this moment,
There is only the rhythm of your breath.
The ebony rise and fall of potential.
As you breathe into your beautiful being.
The gift of life.
The outward expansion of consciousness.
The subtle current of energy shifting within you and around you as you detach from the weight of the day.
And with your breath.
Feel the tension.
Slip away.
And feel your body sink ever deeper into the earth beneath it.
You do not have to hold yourself up.
You are already being held by the mother who birthed you into form.
Embraced by the currents of life moving all around you and through you.
Feel the tingle in your skin as you expand outward with your inhale.
And feel the gentle hum.
As you exhale.
Imagine now.
That a warm golden light is gathering just above the crown of your head.
Soft and radiant.
You It begins to pour over you slowly like warm oil.
Like sunlight on still water.
Like blessings flowing across your beautiful being.
Feel it move gently down the surface of your skin like whispers of promise.
On your lips as you exhale.
This golden light.
Exhaling out of your lips.
This golden light touches your forehead and smooths the busy places of your mind.
It moves around your eyes.
Washing over them with a gentle pulse of warmth,
Inviting them to rest.
It moves down with your breath and softens your throat,
Untangling the words you never got to say.
Releasing the words you said while afraid.
Releasing the words.
Your body is still carrying.
Now is the time.
To release them.
And let them flow away.
With your breath.
And as you inhale again.
Feel this light flowing down into your chest.
Let it meet your heart exactly as it is.
You are neither in the past.
And you are neither in the future.
In this moment.
You are exactly where you need to be.
If your heart feels full,
Let the light hold that fullness.
If your heart feels tired.
Let the light sink into you and fill you up.
With the pulsing beat of life beneath your skin.
Breathe in and imagine your ribs widening like the petals of a lotus.
And breathe out and feel the petals settle and open.
Again,
Inhale.
The lotus opens.
And exhale.
The water grows still around you.
Now bring your awareness to your belly.
So often this is where the body stores its storms,
Its bracing.
It's remembering.
Let your breath be softer here.
Imagine the golden light pooling in your belly.
Warm and steady like a lamp lit at dusk.
With each inhale,
Let your nervous system hear the message,
Nothing is chasing me in this moment.
Nothing.
Is required of me with this breath.
I am allowed to come back to peace.
Breathe in for a count of four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And breathe out for a count of six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Forward.
Bye.
Six.
Again.
In for four.
And out for six.
Let the longer exhale become an open door for your body.
A signal.
A whispering voice.
Of return to self.
Now feel your legs,
Your feet.
Your connection to the ground.
Imagine roots of golden light gently extending downward from your body.
Not heavy.
Not trapping you inside yourself.
Just steady threads.
You are rooted and radiant.
And supported.
Rooting into yourself doesn't take your power.
Slowing down and listening.
Is a return.
To self.
Is a restoration.
Of power.
Of safety.
Rest here for a moment and simply receive.
That beautiful.
Golden orb of light,
Of love.
Receive your breath into your body.
Receive the support of the earth beneath you.
Receive the quiet.
Receive the small wonder of existing in this moment here.
And let this truth settle into you.
I do not need to perform to be worthy.
I do not need to strive to be held.
Peace is allowed to find me here.
Take one more slow breath in through your nose.
And exhale with one long breath out through your mouth.
When you are ready.
Slowly come back.
To movement.
Wiggle your fingers.
Wiggle your toes and gently return.
As you move about the rest of your day,
Bring this softness with you.
Bring this steady,
Rooted calm.
Throughout your day.
That golden light is with you always.
And remember.
The thread is with you.
Your body knows the way back.
If you just.
Pause.
And listen.
