Short chanting practice to connect with your heart chakra and to hear what your heart wants to tell you. Chant with me or just listen. The seed sound of the heart chakra is Yam. The seed sounds of the chakra help activate that chakra center. This meditation is ideal if you want to open your heart or tune in and hear what your heart has to say.

Transcript

Welcome to this Heart Chakra meditation.

We will be chanting the seed sound of the heart today.

Finding yourself in a comfortable seated position.

Closing the eyes or having a soft gaze.

Dropping in fully to this moment in time.

Nowhere else you have to be except right here,

Right now.

Beginning to connect to the breath,

Just noticing where it's at.

Softening all the tiny muscles in the face.

Allowing the shoulders to melt down the back.

Each inhalation growing longer.

Each exhalation letting go of more.

Till the breath becomes like a continuous loop.

Inhaling fully.

And exhaling completely.

Maybe placing one hand or both hands on the heart.

The seed sound of the heart chakra is yam.

You can join in with chanting or just allow the vibrations to wash over you.

Open?

Expanded?

Joyful?

Maybe some past emotions came up.

Breathing and connecting into your beautiful heart space.

Listening for the message it has for you.

Gently deepening the breath.

Maybe finding some movement,

Wiggling the fingers or toes or softly rolling the neck.

Coming back to the present moment.

Bringing the hands together at heart center.

We're placing the hands back on the heart.

We'll close this practice with one resonant sound of YAM.

Taking a full breath in to chant.

YAM Thank you for practicing with me.

Take care of your heart.

Namaste

Before this my heart rate was in the 160s after taking something heavy to the trash. At first my mind was full of fear because of thinking it was a POTS flare and my health anxiety around that. So, I stopped, put my hand on my heart, took a breath and decided to walk home to take care of myself. I put my legs up on the wall to slow my heart rate and put this meditation on. This helped distract me but also felt like I was healing a part of my heart. At the end my heart said to me “I want to be free. Let me out of my cage.” And so I just held her, breathed with her, and told her that I will open my heart. This meditation was so helpful and I will keep coming back Thank you for your guidance, calming voice, and light you spread in the world ❤️
